Woah dude this has got to be one of the first times I have ever seen you post in a room/section so far down on the list.

Just a quick head's up--all but one of the guitar solos are done.

Here is a list of contributing guitarists thus far:

David Franey (local guy from Nashville)
Kevin Hasselquist (Sardis)
Pastor Brad
JD Evans (Letter7)

I had hoped to reel in a couple of other "names", but I am proud to have gotten to work with these guys. They are all great players, and all deliver tracks when they promise.

Now, if only I could get the vocals done.......

Very cool.
Are the vocals the only thing left on the recording side?

It's cool to read Mission Of One news.

The guitar solo's are done, but now the vocals.
Go for it.

I still lack one solo. The vocals are the major holdup. Hopefully, I will have some good news about this soon.

Glad to hear most other things have been finished though.

If I could sing, I would do, but as I can't it's no good. You could always add a bonus track on the end entitled "What the heck is that, is that supposed to be a good voice". I'd clean up on that!

I am going to sync in the last solo today. It was done by Marc Leach, a recent member of the CMR family. So, I'll give a list in a day or two of who did what song as I proceed to work on vocals. Having a guest singer is not dead, though. Let's see what God provides!

Cool to hear you are making progress. I know the "collaboration" part has been a challenge for you. Hang in there man, it's coming together.

The vocals are not moving forward. I am no closer than I was on my last update.

This thread started in October of last year. I have the final guitar solo, but nothing in the vocal dept. has materialized. Maybe God's trying to tell me the truth and it's time to let this go.

That's the most saddest news I heard since a long time.

Mission Of One is one of my all time favorite bands since I heard the first songs on the tape you have sent me 9 years ago.
It were the lyrics that touched my heart like they we written special for me.
In the very tough years I had, the songs of Mission Of One were a light in my darkness and encouraged me more than once.
I recognized so much of myself in the lyrics you have written.

Now I only hope it's not forever, but only temporarily.
I can't believe that God will stop you writing such beautiful lyrics to honor him and express some personal things in lyrics and music.
Can't believe I'm the only person who was touched by the bold lyrics of Mission Of One.
Some songs you can sing in the worship service in church because they are great to worship God.
Thank you Chris for the 3 CDs Mission(ary) One released.
All three the CDs are a very valuable part of my collection.
Like Michael said a long time ago, it's not the time.
God has a better time.

I hope God will show you at His time what to do with Mission Of One.
Maybe after some time the time is better and God will provide in what you need for Mission Of One.

A very sad Mission Of One fan.

Not being able to finish this makes me feel like a second rate hack. I'm tired of releasing mediocrity, and a guest vocalist is the ONLY way to stop that. I'm almost to the place of just smashing everything and never looking back.

I wish I could help out too, but I sing very bad! Not sure what to suggest, alldat, I just hope you do finish the album at some point, as I've been looking forward to hearing it for some time.

How about Pastor Brad doing the vocals? I like his style (AC/DC strain), and then metalfro to do one and (if I remember rightly) get Larry Worley to do one (so it don't cost so much).

Wow, I can understand you wanting to pack it in, but don't smash anything!
