| Is anyone getting their latest on Tuesday? There is faith shown on some songs, but there were all the rumors/fuss over the years about whether they were true Christians or Rastafarians. I can't really say anything about that. FWIW, they thank God first in the credits.
I'll say there's nothing that makes them stand out in the modern rock scene. I don't know if they sterilized themselves or the label made them do that, but there's no signature POD sound left anymore. I bet if you did some blind listening tests people would never know this was the same (multiple?) platinum selling band. _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

| I'll check out some samples, but I got so bored with P.O.D. Their signature sound just had too much rap and reggae mixed in with their rock. I could really only stomach about 1/3 of the couple of CDs I tried of theirs. I probably won't buy the new one, but maybe the "sterilization" as you called it would make them more palatable for me. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. |

| Yeah I'll be getting this one. Every album has had a few songs I really liked on them. |

| No rap or reggae this time around. Just your basic modern rock band. They even have a few of the required shouting vox. I'm not a fan by any means but it's sad to see a pioneering band just try to fit in today. _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

| I must admit I have lost intrest in POD. Still have Southtown and Satellite and heard Testify and was not impressed. I will probably pass unless I hear something that just blows me away. I was surprised thou that they signed with INO which is the home to MercyMe & The Afters. My guess is that they will still be heavily marketed thou in the mainstream with their music and concerts. With INO having ties to the Christian market it is away for them to stay in both markets |
