Yep, I really dig the music as well. Really looking forward to the new release......... despite the egocentric drummer.

I am very close to a final self-mastering. I have readjusted the EQ to excite the vocal range a little as requested by Sabidoo. When I did that, I lost a bit of the bass. I think I can add it back to a couple of the songs that need it.

I also need to decrease the amount of reverb on the vocals. If I can acheive these two goals this week, then I will be ecstatic about the way this is sounding. I never knew I could make something sound this good!

I think that I will be much happier with this project than with the last two. While it goes in a different musical direction, I just really like these songs. I like what they say and how the music feels. I could have gone more metal, but this is just what I was really feeling at the time. I wanted to do several different types of music and just felt like I was spinning my wheels when it came to deciding the direction. So, I just went with turning on the recorder and letting everything roll.

I just hope that everyone else besides Sabidoo and I like this one as much as the other projects. OK, I take that back. I hope everyone loves this project a lot more than the other two!

Yes, Sabidoo is the drummer for the new CD. He has played on both of the others as well, but I did use a couple of other guys on those. On the new one, all the drums tracks, both good and bad, are by Sabidoo. Laughing

One of the great things about being an independent artist. You can go in whatever direction you like, and you don't have management or a record label trying to steer you in some other direction.
