PostSubject: New guitarist for Disciple.   Fri May 16, 2008 7:55 am

In January Nathan Ehman joined Disciple but he was only here for a short while.
He had applied for a job with Third Day as a guitar tech before he joined
the band, and they called him about a month after he came onboard. The
job with Third Day would allow him to be home much more, and that was a
big factor in him taking the position. So we began a search for a new
guitar player... and now we have one. Micah Sannan, formerly of the
band Falling Up will be joining us, which means he and Andrew will both
be playing guitar for us at our concerts. Some of you may have seen a
show with Micah. He is hands down the best performer I have ever seen
on stage. I will leave it at that, so I don't ruin any surprises of you
seeing him perform for the first time.

Now we are curious to listen how Micah's guitar playing sounds.

I hope the search is over...
It has been a carousel of sorts for them lately.

Hope they can cement their line-up. Nothing seems to ruin a band faster than a revolving line-up.

I'm interested in hearing a new album, but that's just me being impatient!

I am also curious to hear how they sound with these new guitarists. I am betting, though, that there are even fewer lead solos than before.

I don't know that there will be much difference guitar wise. My understanding is that Brad will still be playing guitar on future Disciple releases. Similar to what Bob Hartman did with Petra. If you look at the No Doubt album, thier guitarist is David Lichens but yet Bob played all the guitars. Now the 2 new guys from Disciple may appear on the album but I would venture to guess that Brad will play guitars on the album. Disciple is still my favorite band out there.

Bob did play most of the guitars on "No Doubt". But, he was not involved at all with "God Fixation".

I bet that Brad plays some on the new record. However, if you want the fans to really warm up to the new guys, you need to have them play quite a bit of it, too. Look at the stink that has been raised on other boards about Robert Sweet not playing on the Stryper disc. If these new guys are truly a part of Disciple, I want to hear what they've got!
