PostSubject: Hello again CHM   Wed Jun 25, 2008 10:43 am

Hi All,

Some of you may remember me, some maybe not. I joined on the old forum website I guess quite awhile back because I was in grade 9 then and I'm in grade 11 now. For some reason or another I just left it behind when the forum moved to a new site, something I defintely regret. But I was just reviewing some of the music I like especially Christian bands the other night and thinking about how I have grown and also regressed as a Christian and this board came to mind, and I remembered how great it was to be a part of it and how and how it actually helped me grow as a person and also how stupid I was to leave it behind Tongue

so just thought I'd drop a line to say im back on and I can't wait to read through some old posts here and I hope everyone's lives are well.

Beth

Welcome back, Beth! I wondered what happened to you when we made the jump over to Niceboards. Good to have you back in the fold.

We all have times of growth and regress as Christians. It's just so easy to get our focus off of God and onto other things. Just know that God loves you no matter where you've been and run back to Him. Start from where you are and allow Him to move you in the right direction.

How are things on the home front? One of the last things I remember from the old board is that they didn't really like you being a Christian and involved in your local youth group. Has that gotten any better or worse?

Hi Beth.

I had seen your postings on my nephew's website. I wanted to thank you for all of your kind words and your posting the prayer requests on other websites.

Thanks for the welcome.

Yeah actually things have defintely improved with my parents. I have one more year left at school before I move away for university so they've asked that I wait until I go and have that freedom to attend Church every Sunday which, you know isn't exactly the greatest proposal but I've waited this long so it's not all that difficult to respect that wish. They do tend to let me go a lot in the summer though because I am counselling at my Church's day camp and I think knowing that my youth pastor is kind enough to employ me etc. is cool for my parents so it makes them a lot more open which is great. And I can listen to Christian music in my own home and read my bible wherever in the house with no issues whatsoever which is also a step so God is good Smile and thanks for remembering that.

And Nazpastor; I was more than happy to write on Ryan's guestbook. His story and his spirit was touching and amazing. I hope you are doing well with everything.

Beth.

Yes, I do pretty well most of the time. I do find myself really missing the little guy from time to time. They have always lived pretty far away from me, and for the first 5 years of his life I only saw him a few times a year. It was only after the cancer was found that I began to get closer to my brother and his family as we stood together through everything. It will be tough getting through his birthday and then Thanksgiving and Christmas, but God has been good to us and I know he will give us the strength to see us through.

As we say around here when someone loses someone they love: the first one is the worst one. The first birthday, those holidays like Thanksgiving & Christmas, etc. are the worst the first year. After that, they get better, but there is always a spoke missing from the wheel.

Hey Sax Girl, it is great to see you back here at CHM where you belong (wish I could say the same thing for our mutual friend Jon, he has been missing for a while).
Glad to hear your parents are becoming more receptive to you being a Christian. You are their primary example to what it means to be a Christian.
Ok now the really important question.... are you still playing the guitar?
