PostSubject: My bunny.   Fri Jul 18, 2008 1:00 pm

When I came home from vacation Dushi, my bunny looked very sick.
So I went to the vet with him.
He has gotten medications to control the parasite who caused all this.

He was doing a little bit better last days.
Today I called the vet again to ask things.
He told me to come.
Dushi was so very sick of the parasite that there were no medications anymore to make him better.
His kidney's were affected by that parasite.
I had to make the descion to give him a shot so he can sleep for ever.
Ohhhh what a very tough moment was that.
But to let Dushi so suffer and let him slowly die was even more worse.
The vet will give him a shot so he will sleep.
No need to tell how hard this is for me.
I really thought there was hope Dushi will be better.

It's tough, very though to loose a pet-friend.
I did what I could do for him.

Now my Dushi is dead.
This hurts ... it hurts so much.

I'm sorry to hear you had to make that decision, Vonnie. We can certainly become quite attached to our pets. I'm sure it was the best choice for Dushi.

Oh Yvonne, this is very sad news.
I know you loved Dushi very much. I am very sad that you had to put him down.
We do what we can for our pets (and I think you did more than many people would have to take good care of your bunny)
Sad

Any thoughts about getting another bunny (or maybe a possum)? Or are you going to wait for the hurt to heal a little before you decide?

I'm sorry to hear that Vonnie. Pets can become a major part of your life, almost the same as a family member. It's very difficult to lose your pet.
I pray that God comforts you thru your loss.

Let me first deal with the sudden death of my beloved Dushi before I decided to take a new baby bunny.
I need time to deal he was so very sick when I came home from Switzerland and that pesky parasite was slowly dying him.

You know a bunny hides when he is sick, so when you see there's something wrong with him it might be to late.

I will miss my silly funny naughty Dushi very much.

Dushi was waiting for me every morning because he knew I had carrot drops for him.
Sometimes when I was late, he was showing me that it really was time for him to get his drops.
I enjoyed his silly things when he run through my living room and sat down under my chair as a dog can do.
Or when he tried to understand I had toes.

Yes Michael it was the best we could do for him.
He only didn't like my cool rock music and once he tried how my guitar taste.

I hate to hear about little Dushi. I know from experience that losing a pet is a hard thing to deal with. You get so attached to your "animal family members" and it's a huge hole in your heart when one of them dies.

You have my prayers.

Yes Dushi's sudden dead was a shock to me.
Yep Dushi will be missed so much as "family pet member."
Even the kids called each other to tell about Dushi's death.
I wonder now if I did all for him I could do.
It's so strange when I am in the kitchen to see his empy cage in the back yard.

Sabidoo bunnies are not good for a stew.
I think a possum stew tastes much better. Razz
