| Hi. I'm new here. I spend a lot of time on the Christiam Metal Realm. I was wondering if anyone knew of any Christian sludge bands? Thanks. | |

| Welcome Jim at CHM. Hope you like it here Jim, feel free to post about the music you like.
Sorry Jim, I am not familiar with Christian sludge bands. Maybe some of the others know more. Alldatndensum and topshot know a lot about cool rockin' Christian music, maybe they can help you.

| I agree with rockerVu2, perhaps you could go into a bit more detail about "Sludge Bands". What constitutes a sludge band? How would you describe a sludge band?
Any further detail or information would be appreciated.

| A sludge band has very down tuned guitar work and often times a lot of bass. Think Down, Sourvein and Eyehategod(I don't care for this band purely because of the name but it is a band often cited in the genre). 16 is another sludge powerhouse for those that have heard of them. | |

| This is what I found about sludge metal.

On CD Baby is Global Warning listed as sludge metal band. I'm not sure if this is the correct music style for this band.

| You might want to check out the Christian Doom Alliance. They post a lot of the doomy/stoner rock. http://www.myspace.com/christiandoomalliance _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| Torn and Starchild are two that came to mind immediately. _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

| Here is 16's myspace. Listen to some of there stuff. Some call this more hardcore than sludge but it's the sound I'm looking for...but with Christian lyrics... http://www.myspace.com/16 | |
