Last night was a great success! We had 14 kids, and 6 of them had not been with us before. I was praying for 15. So, praise God for every last one of them!

I think we'll continue to attract more and more as the local youth dicover that we aren't pushing religion down their throats. I want Christ to be seen and heard with this outreach, but we're not going to rush these kids to the altar. As they learn to trust my wife and I, I think they will bring more kids into our group. The games seemed to really go over well last night, and everyone seemed really focused on the short film clip we had. Even when I did get into a short Bible story, everyone seemed to be listening. Overall, I think it was a great success! I am definitely looking forward to next week!

We had 13 tonight (I thought we had 14, but the Mrs. said otherwise!). We're getting several of the same faces, so that means that many of the kids are enjoying themselves and coming back. So, we're not growing fast, but I am satisfied with where we are after the first 3 weeks of meetings.

I'll be down a couple due to the high school girls' softball team playing this afternoon. That's something that I will always have to deal with. But, I expect the Lord to send us who we NEED for tonight.

The last two weeks have been pretty good! We had 14 again last week. That seemed to be our number for a couple of weeks. But, this week we broke through that and had 17! We're still seeing new kids each week, and some of our kids are really becoming regulars. God is doing a good work here!

I just pray that I can stop having computer problems each week. I try to show the video clips from the DVD I have and have some sort of technical issue every week. This week, I had to show a clip from an online source and was using a Wi-Fi connection. My laptop did a bunch of Windows updates, and then I could no longer connect to the internet! Luckily, Holly brought the other laptop, and we were able to connect to the web for the clips. But, 1/3 of the way through, the computer froze up and we were no longer able to use the video feed. I can get everything to work fine at home, but then we get to the meetings and everything refuses to cooperate!

I know it's just the devil trying to ruin what we're doing. I know that God is drawing these kids to Him and CL H2O is just one piece of that. Satan is scared of what God wants to do.

Very true! That's why Satan constantly puts barriers up to try and stop us doing things to serve the Lord. But God is always one up on Satan and you can bet that the outcome will be what God wants. God's in control and He'll make your paths straight, even if from your angle they look wonky.

Glad to hear you've got even more kids coming. Congrats.

That's why satan tries it to do things like this.
Satan knows God is the winner and tries to discourage us as much as he can.
Bless you laptop in the name of Jesus.
Maybe this sounds silly, but do it.

It's so wonderful to read some kids are regulars and the group is growing.
Yes, it's true God will use CLH20 to draw kids to Him.
Be blessed in the work Holly and you do for Him in CLH20.

And we grow a little more!

Last night, we showed the movie "The Freedom Writers". It's a powerful movie showing the effects of hatred towards another due to their color, and about 1 teacher who helped a group of kids in California to deal with that and overcome it enough to be able to graduate and live to see 18. Most of these kids were into gangs and had seen more death as freshmen as we will in a lifetime! The movie really speaks to me as it shows that one person can make a difference in the life of kids with enough love.

Since we were showing the movie, we had 18 kids last night. We're still growing! We even had one area youth pastor come and check us out.

See .... it's growing.
I hope the kids learned something from " The Freedom Writers".
Movies are very good to get the kids discussing with each other about the movie.

I'm glad to hear CLH20 is growing.

No laptop problems yesterday?

I didn't use the laptop. I used an old fashioned DVD player. It got to having some issues in the middle of the movie. It was donated to me, and I should have cleaned the player before using it. That was my fault.
