| It seems the first 100 days of a new administration sets the stage for the entire tenure. Would yall join me in praying for President Obama and the entire administration, that they be filled with the spirit of God and that they lead us as God would have them? Day 1 | Quote: | For God’s anointing on President Obama as he steps up to lead the nation NowI know that the LORD saves His anointed; He answers Him from his holy heaven with the saving power of His right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. —Psalm 20:6-7
Holy God, we exalt You in Your supremacy and sovereignty over all things. We praise you for Your divine plan and Your call on our lives. You are our trustworthy God and we bless You and thank You for Your love and grace in our lives.
Today we bring President Barack Obama before You. We ask for Your highest blessing and anointing on him as he begins today to lead our country. We pray that he will place his trust fully in You, knowing that You are his guide, help and strength. Your name is worthy, Lord; Your name is powerful. It’s in that name that we pray, amen. |

| Day 2 | Quote: | For the Spirit of Jesus Christ to dwell in the Oval Office I, wisdom, dwell together with prudence; I possess knowledge and discretion. —Proverbs 8:12
Lord Jesus, thank You for being the source of all wisdom, for You are the way, the truth and the life. You provide all that we need to make good decisions and sound judgments. As we listen to You, we are able to act with confidence, knowing that we are being led by Your wise and guiding hand.
We intercede today for President Obama, that You, Lord, would give him an increased sensitivity to Your voice. Let Your wisdom, which lives with prudence, impart the benefits of knowledge and the advantages of discretion to President Obama as he sits at his desk in the Oval Office and makes decisions that impact not only our nation, but the entire world. Be with him, O God, and empower him by Your Spirit. We thank You for hearing our prayer and moving on our behalf, amen. |

| Day 3 | Quote: | For respect for the Office of the Presidency to remain high This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, who give their full time to governing. Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor. —Romans 13:6-7
Awesome God, only You are worthy of praise, glory and honor! You reign over all things; You are exalted high and holy. Only You are lifted above all powers and principalities, and my heart rises to bless and praise you today.
God, our culture is sometimes brazen in our disrespect for those in authority over us. We criticize and bring down those who serve us or whose decisions do not serve our agendas. Lord, I ask today that You reverse this trend in our country, bringing a great sense of respect and honor to the Office of the President and all who work alongside him. May we learn again to respect and honor those who serve us, lifting them in heartfelt prayer daily. In Your holy name, amen. |

| Day 4 | Quote: | For God’s anointing on Vice President Biden Then Moses took the anointing oil and anointed the tabernacle and everything in it, and so consecrated them. —Leviticus 8:10
Heavenly Father, we express our appreciation to You for the importance You’ve placed on being dedicated to You. Throughout Scripture, especially the Old Testament, You showed us time and again how vital it was to You for people or things to be set apart for service to You. Moses not only anointed the tabernacle, but everything in it—each item—because of the premium You’ve placed on holiness.
Today, God, we ask you to place Your anointing on Joseph Robinette Biden Jr., only a man, but the one You’ve set apart to serve as vice president of our country. Lord, let him be dedicated to serving You as he serves the United States. Consecrate him, Lord, to accomplish Your purposes while in office. For the many ways You are going to use Vice President Biden, we glorify You. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen. |

| Day 5 | Quote: | For President Obama to desire and seek godly wisdom If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.—James 1:5
Holy and wise God, in You are hidden all the riches of wisdom and knowledge. You are exalted high above all authority and power and no one can fathom Your greatness. Thank You for your kindness and generosity toward us, for You offer to us knowledge and understanding that helps us overcome our fallen nature. Thank You for this kind gift, O God, and thank You for all You do to help us succeed in fulfilling our calling in You.
Today I pray for President Obama, asking that You stir his heart first, to recognize his need for wisdom from You. Call his heart to Yours, O Father, and let him yearn for godly wisdom with every part of his being. Draw his heart to Yours, Loving God, and may he clearly see Your rich provision of needed wisdom the very first time he asks, encouraging him to ask again and again and again. I pray this in Jesus’ holy name, amen. |

| Day 6 | Quote: | For President Obama to remain strong and disciplined in every part of his spiritual life Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress.—I Timothy 4:15
Heavenly Father, we rejoice that You have placed in each one of us a desire to know You deeper, to devote ourselves to the study and proclamation of Your Word, and to seeking love, faith and purity just as Paul exhorted his protégé Timothy to do in the passage above. We are grateful, Lord, that You, the Creator, desire to have a relationship with us, the Created.
God, we intercede today that You would place in the heart of President Obama an unquenchable desire to know You. Even in the midst of his great responsibilities and challenges as our president, give Your child, Barack Obama, the hunger to seek You, and the time to do so, on a daily basis. Let him be disciplined and, as a result, strengthened in his spiritual life, and let him grow closer to You, O God, in Your name we pray, amen. |

| Day 7 | Quote: | For God and His Word to be honored and consulted in the new administration that leaders may prosper The shepherds are senseless and do not inquire of the LORD; so they do not prosper and all their flock is scattered. —Jeremiah 10:21
Lord God, You reign on high in heaven and all truth is contained in You. There is nothing that is true that does not have its origin in You. You have shown us the wisdom of consulting Your word in matters both large and small. You indwell Your holy word, and I praise You for Your kindness in providing with everything we need to prosper when we confer with You.
Lord God, we know that for our leaders to succeed they must be grounded and secure in a source of truth that goes beyond themselves and beyond the wisdom of men. Today, I ask that the members of the new administration—from President Obama to all who serve under him—will yearn for Your holy word regularly. Cause them to consult with You daily, seeking wisdom and guidance from Your word, so they will prosper. I ask this in Your wonderful name, amen. |

| Day 8 | Quote: | For President Obama’s staff to desire and seek godly lifestyles based on Scripture Since an overseer is entrusted with God’s work, he must be blameless not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain. —Titus 1:7
Lord, You are wonderful to provide for us in Your Word directions and principles for daily living; instructions, God, of how we can pursue and achieve a godly lifestyle, not based on our own abilities, Lord, but on the abilities You place within us and empower us to activate. Thank you for this, Father.
God, we believe that You have placed President Obama and his staff in their positions of leadership and authority in our nation. We worship You that Your sovereign will has been done in the election, and that now You will enable each person, Lord, to want and pursue a lifestyle that honors You, as dictated by Your holy Word. Work individually and dramatically in each individual’s life, O God, and draw every man and woman to You in the process. We ask this, Lord, in the name of Your Son Jesus Christ, amen. |

| Day 9 | Quote: | For servanthood and humility to characterize President Obama and those who serve alongside him But you are not to be like that. Instead, the greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the one who rules like the one who serves.—Luke 22:26
Gracious and loving God You are exalted and lifted up. You reign high above all persons, all rulers and authorities. You are wholly beyond us and yet, you condescend to us, reaching through our human frailties and sin to show love, kindness and mercy. I praise and thank you for Your humility and compassion toward all You have made.
Father, we know that when individuals rise in prominence and authority it becomes increasingly difficult to remain humble. I come to you on behalf of President Barack Obama today, asking that You help him and all who serve with him to remain humble as they serve, remembering Your example as You made the ultimate sacrifice by giving Your life. Keep them humble, O Lord, and may they rely on You for everything they need. This I pray in Jesus’ holy name, amen. |

| Day 10 | Quote: | For the love and faithfulness of God to be constantly remembered in the White House and throughout the Obama administration Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel. —II Timothy 2:8 (NIV)
Christ, Your resurrection proclaims Your deity, and Your descent from David shows Your humanity; both of these truths are basic to the Gospel. Because You are God, Lord Jesus, Your death has infinite value; since You were a man, You could rightfully become our substitute. Your plan of salvation is perfect and complete.
We intercede today, O God, that Your love and faithfulness, displayed in its totality at the cross, would always be brought to the minds of those serving in the White House. Whatever their role and position of authority or service, Lord, we pray that each person would see themselves and their privilege of responsibility through the lens of Your love for them, so that they may focus on Your faithfulness in their lives and be brought nearer to You. Do this, O God, in the name of Christ, amen. |

| Day 11 | Quote: | For members of the Obama administration to do justice He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.—Micah 6:8 (NIV)
O God, You are a just and righteous God. Every human form of law looks to Your standards to establish right from wrong, good from evil, just from unjust. In You is found all authority for human law and society. Your ways are higher than our ways, and the smallest injustice is as important to You as the greatest travesty. I lift my heart in praise and honor to You today for Your perfect, flawless authority.
Mighty God, our world is filled with injustice and unfairness; many are pushed out to the margins, hurt and abused by those who misuse their authority. Laws are overlooked and lives are damaged because of these abuses. Today, I ask You to bring justice to our world, righting the wrongs that have been done to innocents. I pray that You will work through the members of President Obama’s administration to bring about a great and mighty swell of justice in our nation, bringing glory to You and to Your holy name. I ask this humbly by the authority of Jesus Christ, amen. |

| Day 12 | Quote: | For members of the Obama administration to love mercy Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. —Matthew 5:7 (NIV)
Mercy the ability to display compassion and forbearance in the life of another is a rare commodity in today’s world, particularly among those in leadership who can be so easily blinded to mercy by the perceived trappings of their own power. Yet, Lord, You’ve told us that those who show mercy receive a double benefit from You; they will be blessed, and they will be shown mercy in return.
O God, let this incredible truth from Scripture be made known today to President Obama and those who serve in his administration. As a result, Lord, let them desire to display mercy more often in their lives, to their loved ones first and then to those You have given them authority over. Help them, Heavenly Father, to be living examples of selfless love and patience, and reward them for their obedience to You. We ask this and thank You for it, amen. |

| Day 13 | Quote: | For President Obama to have a vibrant and dynamic spiritual life Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. —Galatians 5:25(NIV)
Lord, we glorify You for Your precious Holy Spirit. God, You have given us Your Spirit so we may live a life that is not only acceptable to you, but one that is ever growing and maturing under Your direction. Because of the Holy Spirit, we have access to the supernatural--Your supernatural insight and ability to walk as children of God.
Almighty God, we now ask that Your Holy Spirit work in President Obama, helping him to have a living and ever-growing relationship with You. Equip him, Lord, to walk in line with the Spirit in every decision he makes, both as the leader of our nation and as the husband and father of his home. Help President Obama to know You in a deeper and more personal way, each day, in the name of Christ we pray, amen. |

Awesome and righteous God, You are beautiful and good in everything You do. Your glory is vast and incomprehensible, so magnificent are You! You are the only one worthy of praise and glory, O God. I humble myself before You today laying before You my life and all that includes. I bow before You mighty God in humility and awe.
As I bow, Lord, I also lift the members of the Obama administration before You, asking that You constrain each one to look to You in humility and trust as they serve our nation. May their hearts long for goodness—goodness as You define it—characterized by a humble and unassuming walk with You. May they desire and receive Your grace to serve with humility today and every day of President Obama’s tenure. I ask this in Your holy and good name, amen. |

| Day 15 | Quote: | For President Obama to have a strong and spiritually sustaining prayer life In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation. —Psalm 5:3(NIV)
Holy Lord God, morning, noon and night, You welcome and respond to our prayers. I praise You that You never rest, and You are working in response to our prayers as we sleep, work, play or pray. You hear our cries no matter what time of day or night they are lifted to You. I thank and praise You for this marvelous truth, loving God.
Today I pray for President Barack Obama, asking that he will turn in faithful and heartfelt prayer, finding strength to lead his team and our nation. Every morning, Lord, may he be drawn into prayerful fellowship with You before anything else, and may he be filled with eager expectation that You will answer graciously and provide him with the peace and strength that come only from You. This I ask in Your powerful name, amen. |

| Day 16 | Quote: | For President Obama to have the spiritual support and nurture needed to excel in office All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. —II Timothy 3:16(NIV)
Heavenly Father, we praise You today for Your active involvement in the writing of Scripture, an involvement so powerful and pervasive that what is written is the infallible and authoritative Word of God. It is our life manual, by which we can know how to live a righteous life, through Your direction, that is pleasing to You.
Knowing this, Lord, we now intercede for President Obama, that You would place men and women in his life that would teach and, when needed, correct him from the pages of the Bible. Help President Obama to be open and desirous of this instruction, and guide him, O God, to seek the Scriptures for himself so that he may have the principles and wisdom necessary to excel as our president. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen. |

| Day 17 | Quote: | For the Obama family to be led by God to a local congregation that can nurture and support them spiritually So that by God's will I may come to you with joy and together with you be refreshed. —Romans 15:32 (NIV)
Gracious God, You call us into fellowship, not only with Yourself, but also with one another. We praise and thank You for creating us with the need to spend time with You as we spend time in worship, fellowship and praise with one another. We love You Lord, and thank You for the gift of the Church, Your means of accomplishing and working out your will in the world.
Today, we ask Your blessing on our nation’s churches, and pray that You will lead President and Mrs. Obama and their daughters, Malia and Sasha, to a local congregation in Washington, D.C. where they are able to be nurtured and supported spiritually. Prepare just the right place for them, Lord—a congregation that is willing to be inconvenienced a bit while they welcome the First Family with open arms and loving hearts so that the Obama’s may be spiritually refreshed. I ask this in Jesus’ mighty name, amen. |

| Day 18 | Quote: | For the spiritual relationship between President and Mrs. Obama to be strong and vital For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh. —Genesis 2:24(NIV)
Thank You, O God, that it has always been Your plan for a man to leave his parents and, with his wife, establish a new family unit. We praise You, Lord, that together the husband and wife form an inseparable union, of which “one flesh” is both a sign and an expression of its reality. This is Your purpose and Your way, and we glorify You for it.
Precious Lord, we also thank You today for the “one flesh” union of Barack and Michelle Obama, and we ask You, mighty God, to move in the life of this marriage. Help them, Lord, to grow more intimate with each other, and closer to You, as they serve our nation as president and first lady. Allow them to discover and apply the truths of Your Word, and let that empower their spiritual life as a couple. Make Yourself real to them daily, Lord, by Your great presence and love we pray, amen. |
