| That's today and means an extra day off. What will it be today? A picnic with the family, a BBQ, a parade of the fireworks tonight. Maybe there are special services for Independence Day. I hope you all have a great day today. |

| Our church is going to the Wilson Co. fairgrounds tonight in lieu of services. We're going to grill some hotdogs and watch the fireworks display. Should be a good time for everyone. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. |

| The wife and I will take the kids to my parents so they can play in the lake most of the day. Then we will return home so we can help the rest of our neighbors attempt to set the entire town on fire with fireworks. Happy Birthday U.S.A. -- _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... | Well, since it is going to be around 117 here in Phoenix I thought it would be a good day to stay indoors where it is air conditioned. So I decided to work on reviews of Seventh Seal (Messengers Of Love) and Virgin Black (Requiem - Mezzo Forte) while preparing to write the review of Pastor Brad's "Reshredded".
As for the summer weather in Phoenix? Well, it is a dry heat... |

| Here we have rain and thunderstorms for weeks. I'm glad I can swim. Sometimes we have two ponds in the backyard. I hope ate least one doesn't have froggies in it.
How old is the USA now? |

| Old USA is 231 years old... living on borrowed time (all previous countries had a lifespan of 200 years or less) |

Are you talking about the average life-span for a democractic nation? I would think there have been literally hundreds of countries that have outlasted 200 years. -- _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I'm no historian, but when studying the 5 basic reasons Rome fell from within, I read that "the average age of the world's great civilizations (thru history) has been 200 years" Kinda heavy when you think of it |

So what stage are our western nations in today? If I had to guess I would say that that U.S. is in either the Apathy or Dependence stage.

I think our apathy/ignorance (I don't know/I don't care) has brought us into the dependant stage, with bondage rolling at us like a fast moving train.
