| I hope they take you up on the offer, as like you've just said it would be a good idea so that both the kids and adults can hear you. Fundy _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... www.bbillett.freeserve.co.uk

| Maybe Mother's Day was the cause of the absence of some kids? That's cool you offered your services to this church. I hope you don't have to wait so long to get an answer. Yes, this asks a lot of your patient. It's really a "hurry up and waiting" situation.
Let us know what the answer will be so we can pray for you. |

| I'll be preaching in front of the whole church on Saturday night. This could be the night that is the deal maker or breaker. I am hoping that God will really show both us and the church if this is where He wants us. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. |

Under normal circumstances, I would say 'GIVE EM HELL' right here......but I think it would be inappropriate for some strange reason... go figure |

| I'm sure if it's in God's will you get this job He'll give you the words for a sermon those people need. It's a bit exciting this time isn't it? God will help you to prepare for Saturday night. |

| I think things went very well. Most of my sermon was my personal testimony of my life before Christ.
I only used one verse of Scripture. IT was the same verse that Yvonne posted yesterday: Zeph. 3:17. I used it because I had the phrase "Mighty To Save" in my head from the worship song. It had been on my mind all week.
I used a rubber chicken to tie everything together. I pointed out that my view of God prior to my conversion was like a hungry man wanting chicken. A rubber chicken could not satisfy or give you nourishment. A rubber chicken is not real. Only a real God could change people, a counterfeit God would never mean anything to you.
"Savior, He can move the mountains My God is Mighty To Save He is mighty to save Forever, Author of salvation He rose and conquered the grave Jesus conquered the grave"
The pastor did tell me last night that he would pull the committee in for a final meeting and allow them to make their final decision & call me. So, I'm still in a 'hurry up and wait' situation. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. |

| Yes, I am looking very forward to getting a final decision. If God wants us here, then we will gladly go. Sure, we'll miss the people in our church, but we've been feeling this major sense of completion of our original task there for a while. My wife and I both need a new mountain to climb.
I have a little theatrical background. I love using props when I speak as it gives people something that they will remember. I still have people talk about a "Batman sermon" I gave about 4 years ago. A couple of the kids still remember a children's sermon I did based on the General Lee car from "The Dukes of Hazzard". Jesus used parables to help the people remember spiritual truth--I use props.
Anyone can use a rubber chicken. In Tennessee is probably the only place you could get away with using a LIVE chicken!

| Wow, you are so close now. I'm so glad to hear it all went well Saturday night. Now the waiting till you get a call with the answer.
It's so cool to give sermons for kids like those Batman sermon. That are the sermons they remember. I hope God will give your wife and you this mountain to climb. Maybe it's a high mountain with many things to conquor, but the God will give you all you need to climb on.
Let us know when you have more news. |

Not if you're a good and proper Baptist. We would fry that sucker and have dinner on the ground. |

The Batman sermon was actually for the whole church. I was speaking on the whole armor of God. If it weren't for the prop, I wouldn't remember the topic._________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. |

| Yay! Another rubber chicken! Now Lucy and Brucey won't be lonely anymore!
I just got a call from the pastor at Fall Creek Baptist. I have a meeting with him at 11 AM today to discuss the package that the church is offereing. I will have to give them a statement of intent of accepting/declining the package, and then we'd go to a full church vote on June 7. After that, I would have to give notice to my current church.
So, I need your prayers greatly, folks. I need wisdom, and I need to be able to restrain my excitement at least for a little while. If all goes well in that meeting today, then the ball will be set into motion.
Ain't God good, people? I really felt that taking the layoff from Bridgestone was a good thing because I wanted to pursue getting into the ministry more full time. At least a decent bi-vocational situation. Now, 2 1/2 months later, I see God's handing moving me towards this moment. I think I'm gonna be shedding some tears of joy! _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. |

| How did it go? I hope it went well and you have the youth pastor position. God has give You His wisdom to decide if it's His will to serve God in this church. I'm curious to hear how it went this morning. |
