| So today, marks yet another year gone by for our nice great big country of the somewhat north AKA:! Canada ! There'll be fireworks and there was a parade - though a sad one at that, in my city (it rained!) and it's a good day to break out the red and white clothing for a party |

| I know Canada is an independent nation but doesn't it still have Queen Elizabeth II as their head of state? I believe Canada's official independance from England was relative recent (like within the last 50 years) wasn't it?
At anyrate happy birthday Canada, my very close neighbor to the north. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

lol well the math is a little off, it was 1867 but close enough . And the political stuff is complicated really, because technically I believe we are under the govern of the Queen, but the crown doesn't really affect any aspect of politics or government (to my knowledge at least). |

I think you could pretty much say the same of Great Britain. Or am I mistaken again? (Fundy?) _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| Yes, the Queen doesn't do alot and doesn't have too much power now-a-days. Things change. I can see a time when there'll be no Royal family. I do like having a Royal family, but I am in no means a royalist as I would be fine either way.
