If you wish to keep all of your skin intact, stay off of alpine slides.

Wouldn't staying ON the slide be better???

Staying on the SLED would be beneficial! I managed to stay on the slide. Somehow, my feet flew over my head and I did a nice backflip. However, the sled left the track at that moment and I crashed on my right elbow, left elbow, right knee, and my face. Being fiberglass, I just have bad burns on those places. Had this been concrete, I would have had large chunks of flesh missing. Fiberglass burns--concrete rips.

In Autsria we did alpine sliding too.
The first time it really was very cool.
The second time I wish I stayed out ot that slide.
It was a bit scary.
No .... I've not lost some pieces of skin there.
