| When I first saw this video I was amazed and even spooked a little. Kind of creepy watching a machine move almost identical to a human. When he...ah...it was running, I had this image of it carrying a rifle. How long will it take for scientists to marry self learning and self aware software with an even more advanced Asimo model? Fast forward 100 years, and you have fully functioning systems with very lifelike synthetic skin developed by cosmetic companies driven by profits pilfered off of an ever increasing vain society. Why would someone need human companionship, with all it's complications, when you can have a near human machine perform your every wish without conflict. When left alone, human nature gravitates to extremes. A self centered nature allowed to act out desires, unhindered, on a near human copy, multiplied by thousands or even millions of other self centered people will without a doubt create an environement similar to the days of Noah. http://www.tomsguide.com/us/AI-Robots-HAL-Scientists-Superintelligent,news-4317.html Dreams steps down from his soap box. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q3C5sc8b3xM

| I have to confess the first time I saw it, I thought it was a hoax. It just seemed to real to be a robot. It is amazing what advances robotic technology has made in the last 20 years. | Dreams wrote: | Fast forward 100 years, and you have fully functioning systems with very lifelike synthetic skin developed by cosmetic companies driven by profits pilfered off of an ever increasing vain society.
