Wish I could do more to give you hope and to encourage you in this.
In this I agree with Gary, please don't smash anything.

I think rockerVu2 sums things up best:

Quote:
I hope God will show you at His time what to do with Mission Of One.
Maybe
after some time the time is better and God will provide in what you
need for Mission Of One.

So maybe its more a matter of patience and perseverance that is needed to see the project through to completion.

I would like to give you some examples from when I was in the research and development stage with Angelic Warlord. The most challenging part of putting the site together was the web design aspect in that I do not come from a knowledgeable computer background. I chose to design the site with Dreamweaver, a program I might describe as a super advanced but slightly neurotic Excel spreadsheet.

I lost track of the number of times I "quite" and "gave up" as I was attempting to learn Dreamweaver and design the site from scratch, with no web design background to speak of. Several times I literally tossed the "Dreamweaver For Dummies" book across the room.

There was one time I was at my wits end in terms of figuring out the CSS for the final layout and design- if I could not figure this out there is no way I could finish the site. I "quit" for an entire week and was in the process of starting my job search (I took a sabbatical from work to do the site).

However, one day I was browsing through a local Barnes & Noble bookstore and happened to pass through the Computer/Web Design section and starting to get a sinking feeling in my stomach. But I pulled one web design book off the shelf at random and starting flipping through it and by "accident" came across the answer to the dilemma I was facing (in terms of figuring out how to do the final layout and design). A couple of months later the site was done and online.

So by all means do not give up but keep at it- things are going to work out in the end (even if you need to take a bit of a break from the project in the process).

Also, in terms of vocalists: Have you approached Pastor Brad? He handles vocals on several songs on his new CD, "Break Out", and does quite well. The reason I mention him is that I know he did a couple of guitar solos for you.

Andy and I think alike! I reckon Pastor Brad could be a good addition as a vocalist.

i haven't smashed anything yet. I have a couple of avenues that I am pursuing as vocalists. In the meantime, I am working on the vocals myself and just taking each song line by line. If the line isn't right, I'll work until I am satisfied. But, if I find someone better, I'll let them redo these songs and do the rest.

Just keep me in prayer, folks. I am majorly musically depressed.

No offense to Pastor Brad, but if it is between you and Pastor Brad I would much prefer you sang on your own album.

Praying God will pull you out of your funk.

I always will keep you in prayer, special now you have a "musical depression".

It's what Gary says, it's between you and Pastor Brad.
Sometimes it's only a matter of time.

Um.. if my opinion weighs anything, I REALLY like MO1's material, and have spun your albums several times... I really dig the "Prodigal" song too.

I'm saddened at the outcome of this thread. It's a roller coaster that's left me bummed as I was hoping the end of this thread I would be reading about a completed MO1 album (despite the frustration of this project).

With all you've had to deal with, I don't blame you though.

I echo the above feelings.

Maybe you could spot us an EP with what you've got so far ?

I know you hate EPs and you hate anything less than perfection, but your fans are getting restless...

That would be fantastic. I would love to see a MO1 EP.

Very Happy

I still just have the two songs mixed and nothing more. I am still trying to find a way to send the files as is to Thomas for mixing since he is SO much better at that than I am.

Name all the individual tracks appropriately (example: Song Title - bass); put them in a zip file; email. Voilą.

Maybe Thomas knows a way to send the files to him?
