Both the Fireflight and Letter Black discs are definate buys. I think I will have to hear more of the Day of Fire stuff before I would commit.

Interesting to hear that X-Sinner is still working on the music.

Jan is supposed to see the release of Liberty N Justice's latest masterpiece & the two new Saint albums.

"The Sacrificed" is supposed to have their sophmore disc out in Spring of 2010 also. Looking forward to that one too.

The official date for the Saint discs is Jan. However, if you preordered, they will ship the discs in December when they arrive from the manufacturer.

I hope to get my copy of the LnJ CD before Jan. as well. With me being on it, I get a promo copy.

Stairway will have a new album in 2010 as well. They have finished the leads and are hitting the mixing stages.

New Giant album as well in early 2010. Seems to have more of a Christian influx in lyrics this go around. Even though Dann isn't singing, he co-wrote most of the album.

After hearing that first single, I am actually excited about this album too (even without Dann, sadly). I just hope they have decent U.S. distro this time around.

I recently got "The DaVinci Hoax" on CD, and it's not bad. I think the next one could have great potential to be awesome.

Ah yes "Angels & Demons". I believe they are on Retroactive now. Looking forward to that one as well. Really dig both their previous albums.

Where did you hear that they were expecting to release something in January?
Seems a little soon since they just got a new singer like last month (or close to it).

Someone on the CMR mentioned that it may be released in January. Again I'll believe it when I see it

Except for Saint, X-Sinner, and Bride, you have to "see it to believe it" when it comes to new albums. These three bands have proven themselves. But, with the rumored Bloodgood, Barren Cross, Sacred Warrior, and a host of other bands' reunion albums you just cannot be too sure. We've heard of too many supposed reunion CDs that never materialized.

At least with the Giant cd they have given us a new song and have footage of them actually in a real recording studio, so I definitley put that in the believe it category

That just goes to show you how unreliable my brain is.

I agree with Chosen, having seen video footing of Giant in the studio and listened to a complete song, I'm guessing we can pretty much count on a release from them. My question is will it be an "import only" release.

It's on Frotiers which is the same label that releaed the last 2 Mastedon releases so it may be. I know Frontiers has US distributtion but they don't distribute a whole lot to stores. Should be able to pick it up from NEH records. If they (NEH) gets it,it will be pretty affordable

What is everyone most excited for in the New Year?

I'm pretty curious about this Day of Fire CD
