| Thanks for the list, but moreso for the insight you have shared into the development of the Christian music industry. Truly a great read from start to finish. I just need to go back and read the entries before I started keeping up with your list. |

| A cool read, but a little to 'artsy' in that the vast majority of stuff is New Wavey.....
I worked in a Christian bookstore in the San Francisco Bay Area.... Most of the albums listed didn't sell in our area which was too bad.... Tonio K.... I never sold one.....
again it's a fun list and his favorites so more power to 'em.... |

It was Dearborns Bible Bookstore in Hayward... I worked there from 1986 to 88/89.... It was probably the biggest store in the East Bay at the time. Especially for music. It was almost like the place to go for hard rock/alternative stuff....
The last year or so I worked there I worked with Sean Doty from Veil of Ashes... cool guy and we're still in touch. I met a lot of Bay Area Musicians who all should've done more than what they did.... Even then as well as today, The Bay Area is pretty much a black hole for Christian Artists... No major radio of any kind.... Then and Now....

We probably met at some point I would guess, even if it was just an introduction. Unless you came after I left.... That store for the East Bay was the place. All of the Bay Area Christian Metal bands would come to say hello or buy stuff...
We carried White Throne there for a while.... |
