I have been educated now. I've got all those albums, but was unaware that there was a common thread between them by the name of Menchen. Now I know, thanks !

I've heard as much, but am still stand-offish. Reason being is, I was steeped in a lot of music like that before I was a believer myself. When the Lord saved me in '89 I trashed all my music incl Slayer, Venom, King Diamond, Dio, and Megadeth. I am curious to hear his newer stuff and would love to be convinced that Dave has repented. He's an incredibly talented musician, but his prior lyrics were not exactly edifying. So, being out of the loop myself, what evidence is there of his new life with Christ ? |

| Daves testimony is his life and words.
He has refused to even play shows with certain satanic bands (Rotting Christ was one of them).
Here are a three seperate comments he made after canceling shows with them:
"Yes, I said that I was not really interested in playing with Satanic [bands], and that is because I changed my outlook on life and my spritual beliefs over three years ago. I became a Christian..."
"Yes, I did say I would prefer not to play on concerts with Satanic bands. That doesn't mean I won't, it doesn't mean I would not talk with the bands either, (sometimes it is just for fun anyway with these bands). But to make a life-altering change and then not have some kind of affect would not have been a change at all, would it?"
"I have to draw the line and stand for my beliefs or they aren't beliefs at all, are they? I don't expect anyone to fully understand this, but I know many of you do, and I thank you for your support."
Here is what Mustaine said in a recent interview in Revolver Magazine regarding the new cd "United Abominations":
"I got saved a few years ago, and I believe the Bible says that the U.N. is going to fail. In order for the predictions in the Book of Revelations to take place, it's gotta fail."
Dave even wrote a song with the Christian band Pillar! The song "Shadow of Deth" on their last album was the 23rd Psalm set to Megadeth music. Several of their newer songs are clearly pro-Christian.
Dave has a message forum where he answers all sorts of questions and I know that he has been very upfront and vocal about his faith. He is in recovery from drugs and alcohol as well and encourages people to stay sober. |

| That is WAY awesome ! I thank God for Dave's decisions, now may the Lord protect Him from all the self-righteous Christians who would seek to hold him back by their words or actions. And may Dave be able to influence others !
PS I still have a painting I did of him back in high school. I should photo it and upload it for you guys to see. Ok, I uploaded it and it's in the photos section |

| There is a VERY Christian song on 'Deth's latest called "Never Walk Alone" that is about God's love for us and He will never let us walk alone. |

| Moderators might wanna move this last portion as a different topic... cuz it seems to be straying over to Dave Mustaine... What album(s) could someone recommend to me that would reflect Dave's faith ? |

Yeah, threads will do that, but we probably won't move it. Too Lazy.

| I'm just glad to see you all taking the time to talk! Glad to see that Dave is getting his life in order after accepting Christ. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. |

Only The System Has Failed and United Abominations, and even then, there is some mild swearing (just so you know).
Musically both are excellent and UA has much more in the way of bold, Biblical lyrics which I hope is a trend that will continue. |
