David Crowder Band

I just picked up "Church Music" (2009) today. I had heard of this band, but had never really listened to them. What snippets I'd heard made me just lump them in with the other every-artist-sounds-like-every-other-artist world of CCM. Then I heard the song How He Loves. I fell in love with that song and today decided to get their album. WOW! This is great! I love the variety of sound. I also like how they manage to make rock evoke such emotion. Its a love song to God.

Any other fans of this record?

I haven't enjoyed David Crowder in years. I saw him open for Third Day. He has a quirky sense of humor, and seemed to enjoy talking down to the crowd. That kinda left a bad taste in my mouth for his music.

Never heard the man speak, but he is definately a talented musician.
I gotta confess to not owning a single album of his though (not really my thing).

Best worship album of last year in my opinon. David Crowder is who got me into liking worship music and Church Music is just phenomenal. I am mostly a hard rock fan and probably wouldn't have given worship music a chance because it was to soft. Then years ago I got his first independent cd and was amazed
