I may have posted about this band a while back, I can't remember. They're a band from Owensboro, KY and have a sound reminiscent of Doubledge. I saw in a bulletin post they made earlier today that they're having a CD release show this Saturday in Owensboro in support of their new album "Broken but Undeniably Hopeful." They also said this:

Quote:
It will be availabe digitally (iTunes,
Rhapsody, Amazon, Cd-baby, etc.) And you can buy hard copies at
Wal-Mart, Target, F.Y.E., and we're working with Spencers and Hot Topic
too!

Although I feel like that would probably be locally though since they don't have record label backing and they're doing all this independently.

You can decide for yourself if you like them or not here: Cord of 3

Listening now, not bad at all.
But I found this amusing

Quote:
Christian / Progressive / New Wave

I don't know what the kids are calling "new wave" nowadays, but back in the 80's it was Flock of Seagulls, Duran Duran, Human League etc.
These guys don't sound like that at all.

Haha yeah, I found that pretty amusing as well. I highly doubt that they consider themselves new wave; they were probably just trying to add a little humor.

Actually, a lot of modern rock bands could add the "New Wave" tag. Listen to some of the drum patterns that new wave bands used (almost dance beats), and compare that to many modern rock bands. There are a lot of similarities.

But, I would drop that title if I were them. People will be expecting something totally different.

As for me, I think I'm gonna pass. I like their music, but not the singer.
