I know some of you have bought the first Line Of Fire CD. I know it is more of the "Christians in a band" category, but I was wondering what the lyrics were like. I was listening to samples of the first at Amazon and know that this would be musically right up my alley.

Can someone share their thoughts on the lyrics?

Pretty much along the lines of the first album. There are your typical love songs but no sexual innuendos that other bands of that era. I don't find anything wrong at all with them. As far as borderline Christian lyrics, none really stood out.

Regarding the lyrics to the first Line Of Fire CD, I had the following to say about them in my review from 2006:

"Pelata, who penned the lyrics to six of the albums tracks, makes his faith best known on the energetic “Faith In Fire”, the catchy “Salvation’s Edge” and “Falling Down (Hear My Prayer)”- an anthem if there ever was one. Otherwise, the lyrics here focus on life and relationships in a positive manner (sort of like AdrianGale)."

Following is a link to the review itself for further reading: http://www.angelicwarlord.com/reviews/l/lineoffire05.html

I have not yet had the opportunity to listen to "Momentum" but it is on my list.

I didn't hear anything at all compromising in the lyrics from the first album. And the "faith" portion of the lyrics certainly wasn't any worse than a lot of modern rock bands (many of them frankly sound like they could be singing about anything).
I don't have the new album yet, but I will definately be getting.
