Agreed - Moya B./Enya/Clannad all fall into the category of "chill out music" as far as I'm concerned. Don't know much about Enya's spiritual path, but Moya B. did return (publicly) to the Christian faith a couple of decades ago:
"Along with the highs of success in the music business she also recounts low periods where alcohol, drugs and an abortion made her re-evaluate her life. She emerged from those dark years as a committed Christian with rekindled faith." (from Wikipedia)
I'm just an old Celt meself, so I have a soft spot for the work of artists like Iona/Dave Bainbridge, Clannad, Wolfstone, Troy Donockley, Enya, Ceili Rain, Eden's Bridge etc. Beautiful, beautiful stuff.
As I recall, Moya B. did participate in a project ("In Christ Alone") with Margaret Becker and Joanna Hogg (from Iona) about a decade ago. Oddly, it wasn't (for me) as great as it might sound ... I think it had to do with the material, which was written by a guy named Keith Getty, and which stylistically was pretty far afield from what all three of those artists typically do.
