I've not been working on the CD at all. I've been focusing my time on practicing for these two (soon to be three) gigs. I need to completely redo the drums on two songs, and getting Darren off the road long enough to do that is an impossibility. I also have some vocals to fix.

All in all, though, I will admit to being incredibly lazy and to also feeling very uninspired to work on the disc.

That's understandable, you certainly want to sound good for the live performances.

I tend to get into those lazy modes too. But it's not like your answering to any record label deadline pressures. Take your time, and work on it when you feel inspired.

I did get in there for a couple of hours this afternoon. I got the vocals fixed on "Be Yourself", and finished the mix for it. I still am working on "Man Overboard"--the blues track. I had everything but the bass volume right on it. Oh well, when I hit it again (hopefully Friday), I can run through that one pretty quick since everything is still set like it was.

That's cool to have more gigs
I understand you need the time to prepare on the gigs.

When you feel uninspired you don't have the mood to work in the studio.
I know.

Why don't you try picking up the phone and calling me so I will know for sure when you are ready to record. You know I enjoy doing it, if for nothing other than to hang out with my little bitty baby brother Bro. bubba c.....

Do I need to email my number to ya, or can you remember it... Smile

Sometimes you need the help of someone to be inspired again.
It really helps.

Yes, Tim is the official "basher of the skins" on these shows. Tim is very young, but he's getting better all the time. Someday, we might actually let him use sticks! lol!

Seriously, Tim is a pretty good drummer to only be in 7th grade. I wish I could have played ANYTHING in 7th grade other than the radio.

That is impressive, keep pounding them skins Drums, and someday you could be recording music yourself. Just don't get a big head like Sabidoo.

Speaking of Sabidoo, he's coming to the house today, and hopefully we will fix those two songs today. Then, I'll have to excuses left when it comes to mixing this project.

Sabidoo came over at noon and worked his magic. This will replace the tracks that Phillip recorded. Darren is now the only drummer on the project.
