Its possible.... but 1987 was such a breakout, pivotal year for so much stuff.... Three major metal festivals and having the oppprtunity to take part in them....

Its hard to imagine now with such an overabundance of good and lousy bands to hear and choose from... There is no real 'gatekeeper' as it were these days....

Back then there was a real underground..... Demos were copied and traded because the 'major labels' for this kind of music was so limited... There was no Intense Records in 1987.... Pure Metal, Refuge, REX, Light, Star Song put out BC but that didnt last...

The Christian Bookstore was the gate keeper to the world of Rock/Metal with a Christian message... If you werent signed you might get lucky and get your album into Spring Arbor distributors.... sort of a huge warehouse and they carried EVERYTHING so if you got your album in there any Bookstore in America could order it for YOU! .... But even in 1987 the snowball was barely starting the roll downhill.... Stryper was rolling but in typical Christian fashion the labels seemed to be waiting for the moss to grow on this rock... So.....

1988 through 92/93 was the great explosion......
