| I just can't seem to get excited over an album full of cover tunes. I know that they have been doing one on the last couple of albums. But an album full of covers and one new songs? It still seems backwards to me. I think this is mostly to complete their contract with Big 3 Records. | I'm glad I'm not the only one who's not excited about a new Stryper CD full of covers of old secular rock bands.
It's sad a label is able to make Christian bands doing things like this.
I'm very looking forward to a new album with songs written by the members of Stryper.
When Stryper played here they did the cover "Braking The Law" of Judas Priest.
Yes it sound great, but .......

Well, I don't think this is the label MAKING them do this. I think Stryper wanted to do this and wanted out of their contract with Big 3. A cover tune album would complete that and would not take as long to put together in the studio as everyone would have these old songs down. I just am not excited about a covers album. I don't care if it's old secular or Christian bands' songs redone. | That is a great cover. From some reason I expect most of this new cover album will rock harder than most of the tunes on "Against the Law".
