I just wanted to let everyone/anyone know my new CD "Slide Ruler" recorded with bassist Tommy Shannon (Stevie Ray Vaughan, Johnny Winter) and Grammy nominated drummer Chet McCracken (Doobie Brothers) is available at Christianblues.net. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Thanks for the opportunity for me to post and I welcome any conversation with other blues fans.

Tommy Shannon drew me in but the music kept me listening. I wouldn't say i'm a huge blues fanatic but Bonamassa has a few discs at my house as does Randolph and I love the Arc Angels album that Tommy is on. Have you heard of Kelly Joe Phelps? Plays slide and I have three of his discs. Now, how do I come up with funds to get this?

Thanks for the kind words Black Rider. Glad you enjoyed the album. I dig the Arc Angels also, a vastly under rated band. Also Storyville is another fave of mine with Tommy and Chris playing in the rhythm section. I have heard Kelly Joe Phelps and he is a terrific slide player. Good luck coming up with the fund$. Christianblues.net has the best CD price I've seen on the web. Best to you.

Guilty/Forgiven: If you like Glenn Kaiser you should probably like what I am doing. I am in NO way comparing myself to Glenn. Just saying that we deal in similar styles (blues/rock) of the blues genre. Thanks!

Just wanted to tell everyone that I have signed a recording contract with an up and coming blues label called High Tone Music Group. The label is out of Chicago and signed me based on the "Slide Ruler" album. They will be rereleasing the album possibly sometime in September. I will keep you posted. Thank you.

BIG time blues fan here. Gary Moore , Walter Trout, Kenny Neal those kind of guys but there is not much in the Christian market like that. Nice stuff man! Have had thoughts of doing something myself if I can find the right group of guys. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Ascention, chek out Raging Grace. There's a thread when you scroll a little lower than this one. Maybe you like this band.

Thanks Ascension. I recommend checking out [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Raging Grace is there as well as my solo stuff, my former band Victory In Heaven Band and all kinds of blues, Gospel blues, acoustic, electric. Everything. John Penrice runs the site and he's a really good guy. Best of luck to you.................

Just sampled Slide Ruler. Great music! you are definitely on my 'to buy' list for this year! That is the best rendition of Sleepwalk I've heard in many a year. Best wishes for your new label!

Thanks a lot joe61. I appreciate the kind words. The story behind my covering "Sleepwalk" is interesting. I was playing a club and between sets a guy came up and asked if I could play "Sleepwalk." I told the guy I didn't play it. Not that I couldn't I just didn't. And he said "well you're not much of a steel guitar player if you can't play Sleepwalk." Challenge accepted and now it's on the album and a song that's getting a lot of good buzz and a VERY good review in the latest issue of Blues Revue magazine. Thanks again.........
