| In the picture thread, I see where yall are crying about your diets. Today, my company started a 'biggest loser' contest for all employees.
I had already started to cut back on my vittles and doing exercise each morning and walking each evening, but now I have worthwhile motivation.....MONEY! Since I am heavier than ever, I figured it is time, and the official weigh-in was today.
My starting point: 332 pounds.
The Prizes: $150 for the greatest weight loss in pounds. $150 for the greatest weight loss as a percentage of starting size.
The company owner also offered $150 to every person who loses a greater percentage than him.
With luck, I can grab $450 from him when the contest ends in September.
Yall wish me luck. |

| I once thought about a competition like that, but I'm a big loser anyway. I wish you blessings. |

| This is a great idea for companies because it can help them with their insurance premiums and motive their employees. Good luck Sabidoo I truly hope you are the biggest loser. btw. I started my recent diet (or lifestyle change) also at my heaviest: 224 Lb (pretty heavy for a guy only 5'-4")....in the last three weeks I have lost 6 lbs. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... I wish I still weighed that little! Of course, I am 10 inches taller than you and can carry that much a lot easier._________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. |

I bet you can, taller guys can always get away with being a bit overweight. Us short guys can easily look as wide as we are tall. The waist size on my jeans is bigger than my in-seam length. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| This is an area I know i'm blessed in. My four brothers and my Dad all struggle with weight and i've never weighed over 205 and that was because I wanted to. I think it helps i've never had a desk job but my metabolism has always been high. So I encourage you guys to not get down when there's a setback and go for it. |

| Not having a desk job would certianly help. About a year after highschool I joined the Army for 3 years, then I got out and spent another 3 years in construction. During that time the only weight I gained was in muscle. Then I spent 5+ years in college and gained over 30 pounds. I have spent the last 11 years working behind a desk and gaining even more weight. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

So far, less/better vittles. Exercise each morning before driving and walking in the evenings. My girlfriend and I got new bicycles this past weekend and will ride when I'm home, and I plan to bring my old bicycle on the road with me to ride in the evenings.
Other than that, we will weigh every 2 weeks, so this coming Tuesday will see if there has been any change for me.
I likely will fall off the wagon this weekend as we are having a cookout and there will be MASSIVE amounts of dead animals to feast on. I plan to skip the bread though. |

| I read about your bikes on Facebook. I hope you'll not land in the land of Oz while riding them! (in reference to the storms you guys are having) Once again, good luck and God bless. Maybe you'll have to update your avatar at the end of it all? |
