Sad to say, but the govenor of Illinois just signed a bill into law that states anyone using the word "Illinois" in any manner (written, spoken, sign-language, smoke signal, etc.) , any manner of sign that depicts the word Illinois, or any graphical display of the word Illinois shall be taxed at the rate of $0.10 per use. You owe the state of Illinois $0.10 and will have to send a check, no cash accepted, for your posting of that sign. Strangely, the law exempts residents of the state from having to pay, so I can say it tax free, but you can't. Hope this isn't too much of an inconvenience. Oh yeah, almost forgot. You will have to include and extra $0.10 for using the postal abbreviation IL when you send in your payment. You wouldn't want to have to pay a penalty for using it without compensation.

And this from the state that also just ruled that the 4th amendment isn't valid and that yall are open to search and seizure, with or without cause, and ANY resistance can and will be dealt with as a terrorist act. You should move to a less hostile, non-1984 style, location.

On the political note, the state of Illinois is just sad. I would have moved a long time ago, but God has called me to pastor in this state, so I have remained. It isn't the promised land that is for sure, but I am here by His design not mine.
