Less music.

Now it's so very quiet in the music this year.
Do you listen more to the CDs in your collection, or you are listening not much to music anymore?
I hope 2012 will give us more cool new music.

Well, I will start.
I listen to CDs in my collection and listen to the samples of bands we talk about.
Sometimes I see bands we talk about and think "let me listen how this sound".

I listen to a lot of music. I'll be getting 10 new CDs anytime soon.

When I get my finacial aid from School. I have marked about 20-25 cd's I am going to get. I do not get to buy that often, so here is to some Righteous Rockin Metal Music!!!!!

Beside I kinda get burnt out on some of the internet radio stations

According to the Mayans there will be no new albums after 2012.

Not even the first 11 months? The destruction wasn't supposed to come before December. The Mayans should at least allow for 11 months of new releases before we're all wiped out.

So there probably won't be too many Mayan's doing the "pre-order" thing for early 2013 releases.

It has been a pretty dry year for new releases. I have purchased 16 releases from 2011 (about half of what I usually get for the whole year). But 5 of those were essentially reissues of older albums. I'm going to have a tough time picking a top 10 for this year. So mostly I have been listening to my older albums.

Being a DJ (The Master's Metal) and Co-Owner of an internet radio station (Sanctus Gladius Radio), I am constantly listening to music. Some albums I am lucky enough to receive as promotional copies...others I purchase. But of the ones I have purchased lately, they have been Remastered versions of classic albums.

I am not at all worried about 2012. I do not even know that I will be alive for a minute after I post this. Heck...I could die right NOW. Well...I didn't, but, I was just saying. I am alive right now and making the most of it. Wink

Well, I'll have to get back to the mastering of the new Endless Funeral CD soon, and then Martin and I can do our part to contribute to 2011's releases. Maybe we can help with that top 10 list...?

Running the Heaven's Metal Podcast and White Throne Metal Review site I hear quite a bit, through promo copies and such.....

This year has been a stellar one for BRAND NEW stuff.... there has been quite a few reissue and remasters that have been nice to receive....
