| By now, you guys know I have a strange and pointless creativity side.
This creation started a year ago when I played "We gotta get out of this place" by the Animals at 5pm one night at work. Everyone laughed. It evolved over the year and I added a few songs into a mix that I play on Friday nights at 5pm for everyone.
It's aptly titled: "The Go Home Medley". I decided to upload it and share it in case anyone else can appreciate such strangeness. Here's the download
http://www.jimscmc.com/gohome.mp3
(1.06MB length=1:09)
My challenge to you: Name all the bands I've included in the song.... |

| 1. Jimi Hendrix - All Along the Watchtower (orig by Bob Dylan)
2. The Animals - We Gotta Get Out of This Place
3. ?????? Kind of sounds like Mott the Hoople or David Bowie
4. The Beach Boys - I Wanna Go Home
5. Lenny Kravitz - Fly Away
This is hilarious by the way. You must be one fun dude to work with. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| Wow ! good job bro!
I'll wait a little before I say who #3 is to give others a chance.
Hint: Released in 1979, it was the band's most popular album. |

Well at least I am, I'm gonna kick myself if it is something I have actually heard before. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I can honestly say that I didn't know any of them. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. |

| Song 3 is off of the Pink Floyd The Wall album, a short segment called "Stop"
Everyone at work has no idea who most of the bands are either, they just love the fact that I've put together so many song clips that sing what they're feeling at 5pm
It's weird cuz even after being a Christian for more than 20 years, I still know all the secular songs I used to be into and my brain picks up any song played in public and stores it. For someone who has no musical talent, there's something in my brain that stores music like a hard drive. Anyone know of any more "want to go home" song clips I can include ? |

| You could use Daughtry"s "I'm Going Home" or Motley Crue's "Home Sweet Home". _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. |

Ok, that makes me feel better. I'm pretty sure I've never heard that one (I was never much of a Pink Floyd fan)

Ok, I haven't been a Christian nearly as long as you but I have almost the same problem. I can remember almost all of the music I used to listen to, and a majority of the stuff that got rock/pop radio airplay in the 80's. My wife and friends (and my wife's friends/coworkers) used to call me up at all times of the day to settle bets on "who sang what song". They did this for years before the internet came along. It was kind of fun, but on the rare occasion when I didn't know (or remember) the song, I kind of felt like I let them down. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

The Motely Crue song Alldat suggested would be great it has a fantastic lyric that would fit well "Im On My Way, Set Me Free....Home Sweet Home"
Also Normandy's song "No More" has a good bacground vocal over the chorus that says "We are going home..No more dying here"
And Heart has a tune called "The Road Home" _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."
