| If you're 40+ you remember the song "Operator" by Jim Croce, howabout the ELO song "Telephone Line" and Hook's "Sylvia's Mother"... ??
All these songs had references to "Operators". Remember when you were a kid, you could dial "0" and get an operator ?
Today there's no such thing. Operators are a thing of our past.
Can you think of something that has become obsolete in your lifespan ? (ie the "dial" telephone) |

Hey now, America's money is alive and well. It has just transformed from long, rectangular greenish paper to smaller, rectangular, multi-colored plastic.
leaded gasoline, "American-made" electronics, good pop music, MTV... |

| That's a good one: leaded gasoline: Once a part of everyday life when we were teens... GONE.
I think Microwaves came out in the 80s too, which means another thing in our lifetime that is a thing of the past is "Warming food up in the oven" |

Oooooh not sure about that one... working in the medical field I make tons of calls to the elderly who have refused to lose their old answering machine. Typical message: "(where's the... is it on?) Oh, this is Doldrum's residence, leave us a message and we'll call you back (.................. what do I push ? well I don't know, did it work? here push this, that wor..)" ::beep:: |

| You will still see those swipers at a lot of concerts so people can pay with a credit card. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. |
