| I was laying in bed last night praying. A thought crossed my mind. I know this is NOT how God's plan of salvation works, but I thought what if I was asked to forfeit my salvation for someone else who's not saved ? Would I, could I give up eternal life for eternal damnation, separation from Jesus forever so that someone else could be saved. It sent shivers down my spine to think of eternal darkness, but I realized that I don't want anyone to experience hell, especially my loved ones. With certainty in my heart (and a sick feeling in my gut), I told God I would be more than willing to trade with my loved ones so that they may spend eternity with God. Would I, could I do that for a stranger ? |

| I've had the same thoughts/prayers. While it is admirable for anyone to feel that they could give up Heaven for eternal damnation, I doubt any of us are strong enough to actually do it. |

| Wow that is really deep. And I will certainly be the first to admit that I'm pretty sure I couldn't do it. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| (I would hope that God would see the heart in that, and let me in anyways... ) But seriously, I think I feel the way Christ does when the Bible says He's not willing that any should perish. He was willing to give up the Heavenly and suffer in this Hell we call earth and experience that horrid death... even for strangers and enemies... phew ! |

I agree with you. Keep this in mind though. Even God, in his human form (Jesus), asked to have the chalice removed so that He wouldn't have to suffer the pain.
Luke 21:41-43 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,
Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. |

| Phew, that's true. It's heavy to even think about. |
