| I put them more in the category with Christians in a band. While they do have a couple of songs that seem to point towards Jesus, it just makes me uncomfortable listening to a song about watching girls walk--especially as a married man. It seems rather counterproductive to sing a couple of spiritual songs and then sing about watching girls butts and lusting after that. I don't think that the Christian market would have really ever given them the time of day had Michael Sweet hadn't produced one of their albums. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. |

| I wasn't even certain the band members claimed to be Christian at all. I thought their only real tie with the Christian music community was that album that Michael Sweet produced. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

That could be, but when someone tells me they are Catholic I tend to think the same things as when people tell me they are Jewish. I wonder if they are "cultural Jews" (or in this case "cultural Catholics") and they don't really practice any tenants of their faith. Sometimes I will hear them saying stuff like this: "My parents were Catholic....so therefore I'm Catholic, but I don't go in for all that religious stuff".
I've also read that the name Mass comes from the bands Boston Mass roots, and has no "religious implications". At any rate some of the lyrics (as Alldat mentioned) seem a bit removed from what I would expect from a group of guys with a strong Christian background. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... | I think, from what I've heard, that Louis St. August is a faithful Catholic nowadays. |
