As an eagle.
When the litte eagle is born high in the mountains his mom comes to feed him.
Then the day comes his mom is flying over the nest but she doesn't feed her young anymore.
The little eagle is loosing weight.
First he was to heavy to fly, but he's lighter now.
Sometimes he get's something to eat, but the little eagle wants more.
Then one of his parents is closely flying over the nest with something cool to eat for him.
Sometimes mom and dad eagle hit the nest.
Then little eagle is loosing his balance and fals out of the nest.
Then mom eagle dives swift as an arrow under the little eagle to catch him on her wings.
In our lives is there a moment we have to leave the safe nest.
We don't like that.
The young eagle was starving and needed food to survive.
The young eagle neede to fly by himself, but his mom was close.
That's the way God will take care for us too.
In Exodus 19:4
"You yourselves have seen what I did to Egypt, and how I carried you on eagles' wings and brought you to myself."
Deuteronomy 32:11-12
11 like an eagle that stirs up its nest
and hovers over its young,
that spreads its wings to catch them
and carries them on its pinions.
12 The LORD alone led him;
no foreign god was with him.
In this scriptures we can read that God carried Israel on the wings of an eagle.
In the image of the eagle we see Himself.
Eagles who live in freedom are the most clean birds.
In inprisonment they get dirty.
God wants that our life will be also this way.
He wants our life clean and saint, so that we show the picture of His Son.
When christians are bound to the world, they get comtamitated and dirty.
When an eagle is about 40 years old, his bill is to crooked, his nails are to long and his feathers to heavy.
Then he's withdrawing for 150 days.
He's smashes his bill first.
When he has a new bill, he's biting his nails till they are normal.
Then he pulls of his feathers with his new nails, the new feathers will grow.
This is a beautiful image of the renewal God will do in our lifes too.
The eagle is a smart bird.
He isn't using his wings to fly, but he's using the wind power and is using the wind optimal.
In the Bible the wind is often the image of the Holy Spirit.
On this way the Holy Spirit will work and will bring us closer to God.
When an eagle is sick, he's searching for a place to hide, where he can sit in the sun as much as possible.
The warm sunsbeams will do him good.
The warm sunbeams will make him soon better.
Isn't this sunlight not a beautiful image of Jesus, who is the light of the world?
Very special are the double eyes of the eagle. That makes it possible for him to fly against the sun.
That's what he's doing when an enemy is pursues him.
When we are pursued, we may look to the Son of God.
His light will dazzle the enemy.
"Hold me close,
Let Your love surround me.
Bring me near, draw me to Your side.
And as I wait, I'll rise up as the eagle.
And I will soar with You, Your spirit leads me on
By the power of Your love."
