Ah. If there's nothing you can currently cut out or downsize, that does make it hard.

Yep. We're without cable or satellite, Internet, eating out, fun nights out that aren't free and I haven't been to the chiropractor in well over a year.

But this is our lot in life right now. Sigh...

Living in Missouri doesn't help. Bill collectors have alot of power in that state...including the ability to get garnishments and even take ones home and car.
I was astonished to learn that when I lived in Saint Louis. In my sate (TEXAS) they can't take our house, car or get garnishments. There are a few exceptions. Child support and IRS can be garnished and the city can take ones house if the taxes are more than 5 years unpaid (however they usually do not if you make an effort to work with them). Medical bills are not a big deal here either. We owed $2000 for our part of a hospital stay my wife had. We set up a payment plan of...$25 a month. Also we get 10 days grace on all payment bills and 30 days grace on utilities. That makes it even better. When we left Missouri they claimed we owed $350 dollars in state taxes and they pursued us to Texas. It took our accountant over 2 months to straighten that out with them...in the end Missouri got us for $100.

James,
Quit telling me all this stuff about how great Texas is. I don't want to be tempted to move down there! I hate hot weather and the only places hotter than Texas is Mexico and Hell!

You had mentioned that you have medical bills. I don't know if they are with the same medical corporation or if they dispered over several entities. However, a few years ago my daughter and son all had hospital stays that racked up well over $5000 in bills (and that was just our portion after the insurance paid their share). My wife was not working at the time, and my hours had been cut. Someone encouraged us to seek financial aid with a board at the Mulitcare (the agency we owed all this money to). To make a long story short they examined our financial situation and forgave all but $1000 of the total. (they also allowed us to pay on that at $100 a month interest free)

It might be worth looking into if at all possible.

Imo's pizza...I didn't care for it at all. I hate baseball and the zoo was ok. Sounds like you are where you should be and I am where I should be. I am home never to leave again and sounds like your home to. I did like white castle.

The news just keeps getting better at my house.........my wife just got a $1/hr raise this week.

And I still haven't heard exactly how much my raise will be yet, but it may be as much as $10,000/year over what I made last year.......which would be amazing!

You know, given the reason he left, I wasn't too heartbroken. Plus he's 36 and his career is almost over. Good guy though, does a lot for the community and so forth.

I'd love to reply, but 11 games out isn't bad if you're in second place. We haven't had cable for over a year now so I've not watched baseball for... over a year now...

Imo's isn't for everyone. My wife doesn't care for it either... You only hate baseball cause you don't have anyone to root for. Who's closer, the Rangers or the Astros? The Astros are just embarrassing...
