Disciple went from Good to Great to Average and back to Great. Love H&H and this album could be just as good too.

The music reminds me quite a bit of TFK, but Kevin's distinct voice rings out and makes it sure that Disciple fans know who this is. I really like this song "Kings". I am not sure if this will be a favorite for the year, but now I am a little excited about the new Disciple disc due to this song.

I saw them in concert last night and it was just them. They played like 5 or 6 new songs from Oh God Save Us All. Gotta tell ya, they roooooockked. It's still along more of the later heaiver stuff like Game On, Battlelines, Shot Heard Round the World and the like. Very intense. They played one called Once and for All that was a very melodic ballad that I think people will like. The band never dissapoints in concert and for me, on CD. I think fans so much want them to go back to the whole TMSAL/Back Again sound but I don't see it. I mean their ministry is reaching more people by the newer stuff then I'm guessing it would if they went back to the earlier sounds. However, if you want to go to Germany for the annual RockFest that they have there you would be in for a treat if you like early Disciple. Supposedly they are playing 2 shows. 1 is a regular Disciple show and the other is a Classic Disciple with Brad & Tim and Travis Wyrick on bass. Playing earlier stuff

I don't think that the new sound is really all that different. What's changed? Just the lack of guitar solos. To me, the music is still very much groove oriented rock. With the solos, I think the old fans would still stick around.

well.. it's not the music that I miss the most....

Disciple is a band I've listened & listened too.
I never really liked there music.
some songs are really pure "cookie monster" music.

Then ... Disciple played live on a Christian festival.
Disciple played aucoustic on the day I had a ticket.
WOW, that was so very cool.
They played both songs that thouched my heart.
Since that show I'm a Disciple fan.

Now it's time to give the older stuff of Disciple a try to see I like that too.
I'm not really a fan of "cookie monster" vocals.

I have the new CD ordered from Lifeway Christian Stores. They have a pre-buy deal where you can get the disc for $9.99 and get a CD single now. So, I did it just to insure I get it on release day. I also did the Third Day disc the same way. I love new music!

That seems to be a very good idea.
Let me figure out if I can preorder the new CDs of disciple and Third Day via Lifeway Christian Stores too.

I didn't order online. I ordered directly from a local store and will go by and pick them up. You'd probably do better ordering from Amazon or someone who carries these titles in Europe.

I have seen that you can preorder the new Disciple CD from the band too.
Maybe that's possible with the Third Day CD too?

For those who are interested, New Release Tuesday has the entire album available for previewing on their website this week. I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet, but I love the new song!

Both songs made me enthusiast to listen the other songs of the new Disciple album.
Preordered the new Disciple.

Although it has a few more slow songs for radio, I find this album to be very good. The screaming has been dialed back a tad more meaning Kevin is singing more. There are more backing vocals than ever. But, when they bring a slab of rock, it will flat out pound you. This will probably make my favorites list for the year.

I'm "patiently" waiting till I get the CD I've ordered.

I don't like it when you preorder a CD and the CD is not in your mailbox on the release day of this album.

It seems when you preorder at Amazon you've to wait a bit longer.

Amazon rarely guarantees delivery on a new release on the actual release date even to those of us living in the USA. I doubt, unless you paid for overnight shipping, that you could even get it the next day with where you live.

Just be patient. It's worth it.

When you pay enough $$$ Amazon will ship fast.
I prefer not to pay big amounts of $$$ for shipping.
It means I have to wait.
Something looking forward to makes me smile these days.

Have gotten an e-mail that they shipped the Disciple CD on November 13th.
