Why is it comic book writers were obsessed with creating first and last names that started with the same letter ?

Somebody started doing it not knowing what it was...and they'll keep on doing it forever just because.

What is the oldest character on that list (probably Lois Lane)? My guess is that the other comic book authors thought that it was a cool idea and emulated it.

Makes sense. I just think it's pretty funny how they did that and I never noticed when I was a kid who read comics like crazy.

On the same note (and kind of funny) one of the guys I used to work for (many moons ago) married a girl he met at a party....and when she took her new husband's last name she became Davalynn Durbin.

Oh man that is pricless. That one is better than that character Marcy on that old show "Married with Children" who married a guy named Steve Darcy and became (yes...) Marcy Darcy.

There was a girl in my high school that was a few years older than me. Her name was Holly Green. She married a guy by the last name of....you guessed it....Wood! She became Holly Wood.

Actually, she did have a brother - he legally had his last name changed when he turned 18. I guess I woulda done the same thing Laughing
