Actually, I do feel better and do have more energy.  I can't say that I really feel "fit" as I am still over 300 pounds.  I do feel "smaller" though as 15 pounds has made my pants more loose and some shirts I had stopped wearing because of snugness I am now able to wear again.

31 days in and I have now dropped a full 20 pounds.  I eat all the time but don't get nearly as hungry as I thought I would.  To be honest, it has been easier than I thought.  I know this is just the Lord's help and I give Him the credit for this.  I cannot say that I have done perfectly every day, and I am only exercising a couple of times a week.  However, with the eating better and smaller portions with what exercising I am doing, the weight is coming off.

I am going to have to think about buying some new pants.  Look at the pants I had on in the new nerdy pic I put on Facebook.  I have them pulled way up on my belly.  Those were my church slacks 31 days ago that fit a lot better than that.

I went for my two month weigh in with my weight loss doctor.  At two months, I am down from 325 to 295--a total of 30 pounds.  Yes, I am still a big man, but I am smaller than I was!  Only 75 more to go!  At 6' 2", 220 is my goal.  My doctor will still insist that I am too big at that size.  However, when I lost weight back in 2000, I got down to 206 and had bags under my eyes.  I was just too thin looking.  When I regained to 220, I looked and felt great.  Sadly, I did not fight to maintain my weight and am now where I am today.

You're doing great, man! Keep up the good work! I agree, you probably do have a pretty good feel for your ideal weight, and when you get there, you just have to maintain. I'm excited and happy for you, keep going!Arrow

The maintaining is the hardest part.  But, I've been focusing a lot on just smaller portion sizes and paying attention to when I truly am full.  Before I started this, I just didn't care.

Keep praying that my wife and I both will be successful with losing the weight and keeping it off forever.  You guys and girls are amazing prayer warriors!

cheers   <--------That's me praising the Lord for you all in my life!

I am still maintaining my change in diet, but not as well as I should.  From Thanksgiving until now, I've had a lot of meals with a lot of carbs.  Fortunately, I have not regained any that I have lost.  Sadly, I have stopped losing.

So, I really need prayers to help get my enthusiasm about this going again.  I really want to reach my goal weight by summer and maintain that indefinitely.

Also, I have learned that I am allergic to nuts.  With us being on a high protein/low carb diet, nuts have been a staple of my daily food when it comes to snacks.  Why it has never bothered me before this past weekend, I do not know.  But, I had quite the reaction to cashews on Sunday/Monday.  I gave in and had desert at Cracker Barrel yesterday and there were 3-4 pecans on the top of that apple dumpling.  Well, my symptoms from earlier in the week came back with a vengence!  So, I guess I will take my allergy doctor's advise and just do a strong avoidance of nuts from now on.

Praying for you brother. And just so you know I have joined you in the fight. I have reduced my carb and calorie intake and have started walking at least 2 miles, four times a week.

Sorry to hear about having to give up nuts. I had to give up cheese/dairy about 8 years ago, and it stinks.

This is one of the areas I have slacked in during the holidays.  I was walking at a minimum twice a week but usually 3 times per week.  I'd just go when I didn't have a lot to do that day.  It cut down on my geocaching, but it was working.  Just throw on the headphones and get moving.  If the weather continues to be nice, I will try to do this for the next three days.  Let's get skinny sexy for our wives, bro.!

You can count on my prayers.
Thankgiving, Christmas are hard days to use the diet you had.
Maybe the doctor knows other food to eat now you are allergic for nuts.

This reminds me of one thanksgiving several years back. I had been diagnosed with an ulcer just a few days before and could only eat a BRAT diet (bananas, rice, applesauce, toast). We had thanksgiving at a relatives house and they made a smoked turkey and some fantastic looking stuffing with lots of other goodies and all I could eat was the bread....not fun at all.

As of yesterday, I am down 40 lbs. and have lost 12 inches from my natural waist (measure your body where your navel is).  I still have a long way to go, but I am getting there slowly.  I am not discouraged with the speed.  It took 13 years to put it all on, so I know it will take a while to take it back off.  I also know that it will take forever to keep it off this time.  I am ready for that.

My goal is to lose a total of 105 lbs.  I now only have 65 more to go to a healthier, leaner alldat!

I really do need to get a couple of pics up with my beginning pic and where I am at now.  I am down from a 3X shirt to a 2X and down from a 46 pant to a 42.  I have also dropped a half shoe size.
