So I've heard people talk about this band many times before, and I'd like to hear what everyone's talking about. Can anyone recommend a few songs to get me started on them?

I have owned 3 or 4 of their albums but really only like their self-titled album. Here are my favorite songs from that album.

I've owned most of their library over the years but just can't seem to figure out what the big deal is. For the most part, though, I just am not into the goth sound.

II and Legend I are my favourites. American Babylon is probably my favourite track by them.

I'm with Alldat, I have the first release, but just can't get into them that much.. they're not bad, just not really my thing.

Definitely an aquired taste.... its one of those bands you love or hate..... sorta like RUSH.... lol ....

I don't love or hate them. I just like them. Their first album was gold, but that's partly its quality and partly nostalgia. Legend I is pretty good.
Legend II, however, is where the band hits its zenith. Tracks 10-15 on that album are incredible. Powerful music that sweeps up the emotions, lyrics that bring strong encouragement (for believers), and a sequence that has them flow perfectly. I made a CD of just those six songs and it runs about 30 minutes. It is incredible.

Listend to the songs of Savior Machine. It's not bad, but they never will be my favorite band.
