This weekend, I am going to do an "evangelism special".  LOL  If someone orders a CD this weekend, I am going to throw in a free download card to give to a friend.  What good is the gospel of Christ if we don't share it?  So, if you've been waiting to order, this would be a great time.

 

Thought I wasn't going to be able to order until payday (Oct 5th) but found some room in the budget to make it happen a little earlier.  Really looking forward to getting my grubby little paws on this album.

I've promoted it on my Christian metal Facebook page, but I can't officially recommend it because I don't have it (yet… just a matter of days). Can't wait to have it, though. I haven't had any new CDs in months.

I received this CD on Thursday. Although the mix is a bit muddy, I have been enjoying it fairly well.

To be honest, I had a lot of problems mixing the CD and finally had someone else do it for me.  It cost me a pretty penny to do.  However, the dirty sound isn't just a fluke that can't be gotten rid of in a mix.  I record using hollow body guitars.  My guitar tone is dirty and a bit muddy--intentionally.  While I want the gospel to be a the forefront, I want my music to have that live sound like you are sitting in a smoky bar room somewhere.  I think this album finally achieved that without being too muddy or too amateurish.

Ok, I've listened to it once so far and I'm loving it.  Favourite tracks are...

Feed My Sheep, The Third Door and Walk On The Water.  I would also say I love the title track, but that's cheating a bit!  The whole album sounds tight and very listenable to my ears, you've definitely outdone yourself and produced an album better than anything in the past.

As a print finisher, I always like to look a the artwork and the inlay, and I must say the whole package looks very professional.

I've only listened to it once and I'll say it. I really dig the title track (good job on the writing Fundy). I also really dig the songs "I Know" and "The Third Door".

And I agree the package does look very pro.

Fundy did an awesome job with the lyrics on the title track.  We kicked them back and forth a few times to make changes to some phrases and make some lines fit better with the music I already had written.  I had help with lyrics on 4 songs and that was pretty much the process on all three.

Sales have started off a bit slow, but I am moving them little by little.  I might even have to order more than my original shipment of 50 soon.  The discs might even start showing up on a few Christian metal distros online soon if God so wills it.

Finally got a chance to listen. Very well produced - the bass and guitar stand out really well. I think I've said it before, but I don't really care for the electronic drum tone. As for the lyrics, I haven't analyzed them, but they sound pretty good. Great rock album.

True, but that is what I have to work with.  I don't have the space in my studio for a full sized kit.  This is all I can do without doing drums possibly in someone else's studio.

If I were a better drummer with a better kit and better recording environment, I'd be glad to provide drum tracks. Unfortunately, my drumming isn't all that good, and my kit sucks, and I don't have drum mics or anything.

I told Chris yesterday that when I bought the cd, I had never heard him play before. I bought it because I wanted to help support him in his music ministry.

But now, after listening to it, I can honestly say that I would buy the cd soley because of the music too, even if I didn't know Chris. 

So yea, he converted me.

Yay!  I might actually get up to 30 worldwide fans someday!  What a rock star I am!!!

Hey, you can count fans in three countries… the States, Canada, and the Netherlands. That's not too shabby.
