PostSubject: My last summer of freedom   Wed Apr 09, 2014 8:14 pm

So this summer is my last summer before I go to post-high-school education and do whatever (I'm enrolled at a Bible school in Québec, at the French division of Word of Life ministries). And I'm torn on what to do. Part of me knows that I should probably do the smart thing and get a summer job, so I can pay off schooling and car insurance and cellphone bills. But the other part of me knows that I should probably do the wise but foolish thing and work at a Bible camp or two for part (or most) of the summer, which has very little monetary pay but is extremely rewarding (wise), and take the rest of the summer to travel about, notably to Europe to visit my relatives and to have some "me" time (foolish).

I've applied to three summer jobs so far, all of them landscaping and maintenance type jobs. I guess that if I don't get any of them, then by default I'll have to work at camp anyway, but if I get an offer, I worry that I won't make the ultimately wisest decision. So if it's not too much to ask, please keep this in prayer. Thanks in advance.

Or you could join a travelling carnival and be a barker for the ring toss game. Smile  Just sayin' ...

Prayin for you lil brother. Just remember NOT to follow your heart, but to follow God's will - it is then that you will truly see amazing things come together and you'll be blessed beyond belief.

I don't think seeing Europe and relatives is foolish. I think you need to seek wisdom from those close to you and earnestly be in prayer.
