You could always catch some locusts and put them in your tacos...

A real recipe for Locust:

No, you speak French, get loaded on Canadian beer and poutine, and scream "VIVE LE QUÉBEC LIBRE!" J-Baptiste Day is a big part of French Canadian culture. In fact, one of the schools that was amalgamated into my (former) school was called Saint Jean-Baptiste. Why is it important? I don't know. May have to do with a discovery date.

Much more interestingly, the feast of Saint Barnabas was on the 11th. The perfect day for listening to the band's catalogue, then!

I've enjoyed snail and alligator....but I think I'm gonna pass on that idea.

Eh the bug paste stuff actually wasn't that bad...  All the food there is very dry and kinda bland - including bugs haha.

I think you are on to something.  If John were a BAPTIST, he wouldn't have eaten locusts and wild honey.  He would have gotten a committee together and had a potluck dinner.  Everyone would have brought their favorite recipes and they would have feasted on fried chicken, corn on the cob, deviled eggs, and more desserts than you could shake a stick at!

Tough part is being interested in the derailed version of the thread but having no idea where that thread is because the title doesn't match what is being discussed currently.
