Was my image.  I don't know what it means either.  My wife used to teach statistics and used to throw that word around along with heteroscedasticity.  It has something to do with a regression line...whatever that is.

When I was a kid there was a game in Cracked Magazine (kind of like MAD) called "Let's Be Obnoxious" and you could score so many points by being obnoxious to people. Was a fun game.

If I recall from business school, you use scattergraphs to compare two sets of data.

For instance, you could track the temperature outside for 10 days. Then, in those same 10 days, you can track how many cups of coffee you sell from your street-vendor-coffee truck. Then you plot both sets of data to see where the best option to sell coffee is.

That's simplistic, but the best I can remember.

Heteroscedasticity I don't remember - that must be more advanced statistics than I took...

I have shared this a few times on the web but my user name was an old nick-name given to me in the Army.  It comes from a company that manufactured pre-polished rank and insignia medallions & pins (worn on military uniforms).  The spelling was a little different though as you can see.
