I found another photo from that jam session in my living room from back in 1990!

Wow, you look so young...
Also I miss my acid washed jean jacket. 

Dude on the right didn't know he was setting the duck lips trend.

His name is William, but we all called him Boofel.  There is a funny story behind the nickname.

That particular bass was my daddy's.  He and my mom were going through a bankruptcy at the time.  He was so afraid that the bank would come in and seize anything he had of value to help pay his debt.  So, he asked me to take his gear home until they were clear--however long that would be.  He had this huge Peavey speaker and 500 watt Traynor head, so I sure didn't mind.

After Daddy died, I brought his bass home with me.  So, I have it but haven't played it since then.  I just didn't feel right.  Now, I kinda think it might be time to break it out again.

The guitarist in my band back then was a guy I also went to elementary/high school with.  His middle name was "Bethel".  When in kindergarten, there was this black boy who could not say "Bethel".  When he tried to say it, it came out "Boofel".  The nickname stuck, and everyone still calls him Boofel to this day.

I know a really good photographer that takes a lot of pics at church, he lets me use any pics he takes of me.

Family pic from last Christmas...you won't catch me in a suit very often, so enjoy it while you can!

I don't mind getting dressed up, it's not uncomfortable as long as your shirt collar and jacket are sized properly, I just don't have that much occasion to get all fancy.

I was looking for pictures of my mother today and ran across something kind of funny/interesting.  The most current picture I could find of her was from when I went to visit my parents in Texas back in November of 2015.  Here she stands (nearly 70) in all of her old lady glory, grey hair, carpet bag purse, over-sized sweater (so she will stay warm on a 68 degree day) and orthopedic shoes.
  




Flash back about 4 years to 2013 (and about 60 lbs heavier) and here she and my dad are in their full on biker garb.  You wouldn't know it was the same woman!
