Just a quick note to let you all know I'm bowing out of Facebook for a little while. I'm in need of a break while I straighten out several issues in my life.  When I sign back up, I'll seek you out again. God bless.

Occasionally, yep.

Things just keep coming our way and it's getting ridiculous at this point. I don't wanna be a perpetual whiner here, so when I say "occasionally" it means I will be here to post good, positive stuff - no more of my personal problems.

Will be bummed not to see much of you.  Will be praying God will sort out your trials soon, rather than later.  You know you can always PM me if you need specific prayer.  I am here for you brother.

I certainly appreciate everyone's support and love... means the world to me. I've just had so many problems in my life coming one after another that it's getting very tiring. I know that I can count on anyone here to listen to me and pray for me, but it's gotten to the point where stuff keeps happening nearly every week and I don't want to post nothing but my problems all the time. I'd rather post fun, happy stuff. When someone does nothing but posts problems and prayer requests, it can be interpreted as attention getting, or "there's Jim again, nothing but problem posts all the time" -haha !
Just trying to see it from the perspective of others is all.

I don't think that any of us see it that way at all.  You've been more of an encouragement to us all than a burden!  I, for one, will tremendously miss your posts on Facebook and here.

Lord, this feels more like a funeral with us losing a friend and brother!

Oh, like I said, I'll be hanging around here... I mean, you guys are WAY closer to me and understand me than my own family.
I'm just taking a break from Facebook is all. I'll be back on Facebook sometime later. I just need the break for emotional reasons right now. For the 1st time in 45 years I'm having family problems - my mom and oldest brother and especially his wife... they're really being difficult right now and unlike some who have family problems and resolve them, I'm not used to this as I've never had any problems with my family that weren't resolved within minutes.

So all that junk aside, I'll certainly be hanging out here as I appreciate my family here and have a respect for all of you.
If you wanna send up some prayer for our situation, great, otherwise I feel as though I'm through with my sister-in-law, which sucks cuz it's gonna devastate my brother. But hey, we didn't start it and we were the ones unjustly attacked... egads, what a mess.

Ha ! Yep, I have no one near me to share my love of music with - music trivia, favorite songs, lyric games, etc.  So I take to FB and CHM.... 'tis my respite.  I'll miss FB soon enough... but with all the drama going on in my life, I just want to drop out for a while (but not here).

Lisa wants me to just let it go, even though she was the one wronged by my sister-in-law, as she doesn't want me to have a rift in my family "cuz of her".... but needless to say, I'm ripped about what happened especially since my wife is so hurt by how she was treated.  It was all I could do to bite my tongue, and even then, I had a bit of a say before we left and my brother and his wife were all like 'everything's fine now' yada yada... but everything ISN'T fine.  Anyone else treat my wife that way, they'd be on their hands and knees picking up teeth.
So, not only did my sis-in-law cause a huge problem relationship-wise, she also made it very difficult for my wife to get over her hurt, and me to be able to forgive.  I understand what Scripture says, but I ain't doing so well with that right now.  I guess I'll probably end up dumping the whole story on ya'all soon as not having anyone to talk to about this is killing me... I already wrote down everything on a notepad the day after -so I could try to understand and cope with what happened... but I'm still struggling and probably always will... anyways, thanks again for listening and prayers.

However, my "scores" of new albums will be cutting back significantly now as I'm on disability and must watch the cash flow closer these days.

I hate to say it, but family does some of the worst things to each other.  We had to pretty much cut my sister-in-law off from our family for a few years just because of the terrible things she would say.  We have recently started doing some limited activities with her again, but she will never come to my house for the holidays again.

I've seen the letters MIA before, but I want to know what it means.
For all who laugh about this.
English is not my native langauge.
Maybe that makes things clear.

MIA means Missing In Action.  It's a military term used when soldiers would go missing out on the battlefield.

Man, we should hook up sometime maybe via text messages... I'd love to bounce these family issues back and forth for a bit and compare notes. I'm not talking about getting the "dirt" or anything, just things like how you dealt with it, attempts at reconciliation, how to live in the same town with people you never want to see again... etc...

There are 2 sides to every story and Lisa and I will be the first to say we're imperfect and make mistakes, but my brother and his wife refuse to admit ANY wrong doing... matter of fact, they've been the "perfect" couple since high school. I was always "Randy's brother"... not "JIM".  I'm not saying these things as a way to demean them, rather, they HAVE been the perfect little couple who does everything right... when I was young I looked up to them (they have countless "admirers" as he was always the "perfect" mechanic and they are prideful about having the perfect house, perfect vehicles, and ALWAYS do the right thing in every situation no matter what - how do I know this ? Cuz they'd always boast about it. Then they always said when they have kids, they're gonna be the perfect parents and their kid will NEVER do this or that, etc.... then they had a daughter, and she made them eat their words), as I got older, I realized that they were a bit too "black and white" on every issue in life.. though annoying, I can always look beyond these things cuz I love them, and I HOPED they'd always overlook my imperfections.  But this latest tragedy was a huge attack on us "imperfect" ones... again, if it was handled in a nice way, all would have been fine, but his wife was horrible to Lisa and I, made us feel terrible about something very miniscule -about something we would have brushed off as no big deal if the roles were reversed, and they HAVE been over the years.  I've always been a peaceful person and let things slide all the time - you have to in this life.

I guess I'm going into this deeper than I intended... there's SO MUCH more to this to understand both sides and what's actually going on, maybe I'll type up the whole story and share it in the prayer section, mostly for my own therapy as I NEED to get this out and move on (I've been sick to my stomach since Sunday, popping more pills than I should be, having panic attacks and sleepless nights... Lisa's better now, but cried a lot from being so maliciously attacked)...

Anyways, I'm taking this day to get away -I'm on my way out now to go to Costco and hit some thrift stores in the area (it's about an hour away from us)... gonna try to clear my head a bit.
Thanks for the prayers and especially for listening.
Seems that things have been a nightmare since Feb 2014 when that dentist pulled the wrong tooth. Went downhill from there: 3rd back surgery that I didn't bounce back from, Lisa being laid off by a new corporation that she uncovered bad dealings within their higher ups (and they treated her like a criminal escorting her out of the building, when THEY'RE the criminals !), then I had to go on disability from the daily excruciating pain -which is a financial burden that we don't need, then this whole family mess.. There are so many other things in the last few months I could list as well, but you get the point.  I'm SO tired and have had to fight thoughts of doing really bad things lately.... I don't wanna live my life this way. It sure ain't how I forseen my life's plans.

I keep crying out to God, but I guess He just wants me to keep the faith during all this... Idk

As I'm sure you now realize, the "perfect" people are usually the people who are the most f#$%ed up when no one is watching. We are all horrible, miserable people and those who try to project the image that they aren't are fooling only themselves.

As far as that other stuff, I'm reminded of a quote by Michael Chabon: “Man makes plans . . . and God laughs.”

Not to be trite, but at some point in the future, you'll look back on what's going on right now and be like "Oh, that's why that crap happened..."

No problem. I'm going through the same thing with my job. I've been looking for 3 years for something else and the few interviews I've been on went from bad to worse. But my lovely wife keeps reminding me that it's all to prepare me for the job I'm supposed to have.
