This thread will most likely be long and added to often... at least for me.
Which bands, no longer together or no longer in their "prime", do you regret never seeing in concert ?
If you're surprised I don't have a certain band on my list, it's most likely cuz I DID see them in concert. So here's who I wish I could've seen in concert live: _______________________________________________________________
Altar Boys Amy Grant (yes, I said that... I've seen Michael W Smith's amazing performance back in '91, but never seen the queen of CCM) Angelica Barnabas Barren Cross The Brave (early band) Bruce Carroll The Choir CROSSECTION CRYSTAVOX The Crucified Deliverance Die Happy Earthsuit Eternal Decision Fear Not Greg X Volz Headnoise Hokus Pick (mostly for their "Brothers from different mothers" tour) The Holidays Holy Soldier Jerusalem Keith Green ! King's X Left Out Legend (Seven) Leslie (Sam) Phillips Leviticus Mad at the World The Elefante bros and company in Mastedon Mission of One ! Novella ! Off The Record Oil One Bad Pig One 21 Ordained Fate Phil Keaggy !! Place of Skulls POD Rachel Rachel Rage of Angels Resurrection Band (REZ) Rich Mullins Sacred Warrior Saint Seraiah SEVENTH AVENUE Shout -Ken Tamplin Six Feet Deep ! Steve Camp STEVE GRACE ! Stryper ! (I'm probably the only person here who hasn't seen the legends live in concert...) Switchfoot Theocracy ! Trytan Undercover (early) Voyager Whitecross WRENCH ! X-Sinner Zaxas Ziad Zion
Mainstream bands I wish'd I'd seen in their prime: The Cars Cheap Trick Def Leppard Fastway FLEETWOOD MAC Heart Huey Lewis and the News Iron Maiden Journey (with Steve Perry.... of course) KISS Little River Band Night Ranger Pink Floyd Rush Savatage The Toy Dolls Triumph U2 Zebra ZZ Top
That's my EXHAUSTIVE list.... whatchoo have ?

Far Far too many.
The Who is coming to town and I went online to see about ticked prices...they started around $150...guess I'm not going to get to see The Who.

Wow...it's not like they NEED the money anymore... they're guaranteed sold out events, so why not do like Huey Lewis and others and just charge 30 to 50 bucks a seat. That's more than enough

Are Stryper and Theocracy no longer in their prime???
Don't know that I could say I regret not seeing anyone, but there are tours of certain mainstream groups I'd have liked to have seen as I only got to see some of them in their more modern equivalents (80s). I found most concerts disappointing because of the sound quality or mix. I would cut some slack if there were extended jams/solos that you couldn't normally get on the album.
I'd like to see those 2 mentioned above. Hope Place of Skulls gets back together, too. If it wasn't for family stuff getting in the way, I would have gone to see both PoS and Theocracy the same weekend last year. Oh well.

Now that I have a empty nest and plenty of time, I'm the prime candidate for doing nothing but concerts... unfortunately my health conditions have ruined that for me. Usually in too much pain, or don't have the money now that I'm off work. Oh well, I think that's why I started this thread... I'm having wishful thinking.
And as far as "Prime" goes... I agree the 2 you listed could still be considered in their Prime. But I think I was selfishly defining "Prime" as a time era in the past that I liked... not recently. Who knows what I meant ?? LOL

Apostle Arsenal Bad Little Duck Barnabas Believer Betrayal Blood Drift Crystavox Daniel Band Die Happy Faith Factor Fasedown Last Chapter Leviticus One Bad Pig Paradox Paramaecium Place of Skulls Sacrament Sacred Warrior Saint Vengeance Rising Veni Domine Venia
I will say though that I've been fortunate to see quite a number of bands throughout the years

Heck! I would have liked to have seen them live, too! Of course, I've only done ONE show under that name as I have never been able to find musicians who wanted to do my stuff. I doubt I ever will, either.
Perhaps that will change when I get the blues albums out. If not, I have plans to do some gigs as a one man band.

I saw The Who in 1989 in the Silverdome. We had tickets on the 17th row on the floor and it was awesome. I think there were over 70,000 people there and we felt lucky to have tickets so close to the stage. But I wouldn't pay near 100 bucks to see anyone unless it was Rush (and that is out because they are done touring).
As for Huey, he puts on an awesome show. My wife and I went to see him last year and tickets were about 60 bucks in our section on the floor. He put on a fantastic show. They opened the show by playing ALL of Sports. We were pleasantly surprised. They played most of the hits and even some new stuff that was excellent. I almost bought the "Soulsville" album on vinyl, they had it for sale for 15 bucks and had tons of tour shirts including retro looking shirts (those were pretty cool). Also saw Hall & Oates around the same time and they put on an awesome show too.

I got to see Amy twice, good shows.
I saw Rez on the Silence Screams tour with Mylon and Broken Heart in Columbus, OH on New Years Eve.
Saw Barren Cross with Messiah Prophet right before MP broke up. I was going to see them a second time, but they broke up earlier in the week, so I got Xalt instead.
One Bad Pig was a killer show! It was the I Scream Sunday tour, check out the Blow Down the House video for that one. It was amazing! They went from silly string and super soakers on the audience, to stage diving into a kiddie pool-sized ice cream sundae, to cutting some guy's hair on stage to Kosher lying flat on his face in prayer interceding for our nation to full-blown hands in the air worship.

Sometimes it's not what you like to see, but what bands are giving a show nearby you. I've seen so many bands I really like. Of course I would love to see Crystavox, Stairway, Mission of One and Mastedon. But I think it's never going to happen. It was great to see many bands on festivals abroad I like to see.

The Ramones Operation Ivy Stryper (even though I'm not much of a fan anymore I used to be) Stavesacre The Crucified Johnny Cash LSU Aunt Bettys Willie Nelson Five Iron Frenzy (although since they united, if they come to St Louis I can still see them)

Yeh, I realized when I was typing that you haven't done any live shows based off any albums... but it would be epic to see you and Darren and some other artists who you've worked with get together and perform several songs off early albums... that would be such an ultimate concert !

Had a chance to see Trouble on the Manic Frustration tour for 5 bucks when I was a student at UT in Knoxville. At that time I still thought they were a Christian band. Couldn't find anyone to go with me so I skipped. Now I wish I would've gone anyway.

I never saw Deliverance, Tourniquet, or Believer. All three among my all-time favorites. As far as modern bands, I don't think I'll get the chance to see Forsaken, Nomad Son, Teramaze, or The Rain simply because they don't tour in the US.

I wish I'd gotten in on The Police's farewell tour. I've seen Rush and the Daniel Band now, so I can't complain. Barnabas, like many have mentioned, is one group I wish I'd been around to experience.

Yeah, when they were touring (or getting ready to tour) I asked my wife if she wanted to go see them. She thought it would be awesome so I said I would look up tickets for Tampa. Would have been a fun 5-6 hour drive and an awesome show to see. I went online months before the July 11 show to buy tickets. Sold out! So she said "see if you can find another city". I looked, nothing! The entire TOUR sold out in 30 minutes! No Police for us!

You could probably find some tickets through StubHub or something like that. But it'd probably be for a bit more than the original price

I have a few of their albums but the one that I love is the debut disc "Chosen".
I also really like Faith and Devotions of a Satellite Heart.
I Have those two as well as the Christmas Disc (A Violet Christmas), Strength, the S/T, and The Story of Our Lives.
