| It's not a big deal, and it never really became an annoyance to me until one time I bought a CD at a thrift store, came home and the Cd in the case wasn't the right album. What I'm talking about is the CD itself and it's "art" minus the name of the band, album, or any real identifying marks that the CD belongs to the CD's cover. Oh, and forget reading that #2 font printing that circles the circumference of the CD ! The days of reading print that small are GONE ! Haha ! I got a similar CD today and it reminded me of the time I got a wrong CD cuz of this fancy shmancy CD art without any info. | |

| If they aren't going to put any wording then they should put something on the disc that actually matches the rest of the artwork. | |

| Right ??? Xid, you got my EXACT point here... SO frustrating in some cases.
Speaking of "cases" (yeh, I know, I'M a case- haha) when I used to have all my CDs in a travel case in my truck, the un-identifiable CDs like we're talking about, were a pain in the whazookie ! I'd mix them up sometimes and not know which album it was cuz of the vagueness of it.

| I don't think that ever happened to me before. I do remember one time being very excited because I had found a somewhat difficult to find CD in a used music store....only to open the case and find out it was empty....no physical CD inside. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... | Oh man ! That's happened to me too... totally stinks !
Sometimes the cd might be in another case though. If there aren't a zillion cds to go thru, check next time. One time I found a cd case that was empty only to find it in another case by the same band, different album.

| The one that got me was Iron Maiden "Matter Of Life & Death". Bought it at Best Buy BRAND NEW, in the shrink wrap. Opened it up and there was NO disc! Not even a wrong one, but nothing!!
And while looking at vinyl a few months ago I was excited to find a copy of Styx "Man Of Miracles". I always look at condition of used vinyl because some of it looks like it was used as placemats or frisbees. I opened this one up and it was Roger Whitaker which is a far cry from Styx!

| Most of the time you can check a catalog no in the matrix of the cd if it is not found on the disc itself. I almost bought a Yolanda Adams cd last week, when i noticed the catalog no on the disc didn't match with the spine. I left it. Btw this is U2's Zooropa | |

| Unless it is through eBay or Amazon, there is no place around other than Goodwill to find used music. I don't have to worry about this problem anymore. I am not taking the time to sort through all the disarray of Goodwill's music section to look for a chance CD that I may never have found. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

Totally random number... however, I've posted so many "pet peeves" over the years, that I wouldn't be surprised if I reached about a hundred by now. To name just a handful, there's: cracked cases, broken hinges, crushed spindle (little circle thingy that holds the cd in), missing cd, wrong cd, scratched cd, water damaged inserts, missing inserts, cutouts -holes drilled thru the case -hole punched upc codes, writing on the cd or inserts (ESPECIALLY someone's name written all over the front cover...GRRRRR), and on and on and on... (Geez what a picky music lover eh ? ) - Quote :

You got it But if I were shopping at a thrift store and opened the case, not knowing what the cd looks like already, I could very well buy the wrong cd. I know you can match the numbers on the perimeter of the cd itself to the back of the cd insert... IF you have a magnifying glass ! LOL !!

How about buying a used cd and opening it up and having it absolutely reek of cigarette smoke or mold? That has happened to me before. I bought one new cd and opened it up to have it just reek of cigarette smoke. I had to let the insert air out for several days before I could stand to have it close enough to my face to read the liner notes. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... MAJOR PEEVE !!! Yes, that's a huge one for me. I've rummaged thru people's yard sales and flipped thru records that smelled that way too... so disgusting to me.

| I snagged a Hawk Nelson CD "Live Life Loud" (or something like that) and the insert has a bunch of pictures that are made with the classic red/blue 3d, with some cheapo 3d glasses. So that's all cool and all... but here's my PET PEEVE with this one... There are SO many images to unfold and look at with the 3d thingy, that when you're done and want to fold it back up.... FORGET IT !! It's impossible to figure out how it folds back to the regular front cover. I messed with that stupid thing forever, and every time it wasn't correct, I'd get more and more ticked, cuz if it's not folded right, then it's all messed up and not flat. Grrrr ! These First World problems are so frustrating ! | |

I keep two with me wherever I go. | LOL ! I have my reading glasses (without which, there's no way I can read smaller print) -but I also have 2 magnifying glasses. One is a basic one, the other is awesome - It has lights built into it. You know you're getting old when having a magnifying glass with built in lights is SUCH a huge excitement.

No, I thought it looked pretty cool without the CD so I just kept it that way.... Of course I did, I turned back around and went and swapped it for another one. It is the version that came with the bonus DVD and Eddie patch. The patch and the DVD were there but no CD. And it is an excellent album, probably my favorite with the current line-up.
