I never knew this, perhaps others here were aware, but I just discovered one of my old favs from back in the day, BRIGHTON, moved into the Tribute realm.

Lead vox for the old Christian Glam band, David Brighton has been lead for the Tribute band Space Oddity, where he handles Bowie like a mirror image.

Pretty impressive.

For anyone not familiar with Brighton, here's a taste from their one and only release:

And what he's been up to since the early 90s post Brighton band =

That's pretty cool, he's got it down! For some reason we no longer have AXStv. Don't know what happened to it. I remember when they had tribute bands on there but I missed this one, thanks for sharing. My brother called me and said "BoStyx is coming up you better turn it on!" and that was the only segment I watched (Boston/Styx tribute band).

I dig BoStyx -amazingly talented !

I've seen a few tribute bands over the years, Beatlemania was good back in '81... but the best was Atomic Punks- the Van Halen tribute band - very cool concert !

I would say that transitioning from Brighton to David Bowie isn't a huge stretch. I'm betting the Bowie tribute band does a much better job of paying the bills.

How would you describe Brighton's music? I have never heard of them/him. That song you posted is really good. Can't pin-point what it reminds me of. Maybe a mix of The Outfield and Romantics (they kind of have a Romantics look). Nice vocal harmonies too. I'm gonna see if they are on Spotify and if the other songs are as good as that one I will see if they are on iTunes.

Did some looking around and Firestream only has one album listed.

https://firestreamvault.com/album.php?id=4891

On Spotify only one album is listed from 2011 (Between Here & Heaven) but I am not sure if it is the same artist. Kind of sounds like it might be the same band but I do not know. In addition to that one album there are some single songs on Spotify, including this one which from 2013 which sounds like an 80's New Wave song (I like it!). This may not be the same band but I like the style of the song.

Don't know if this is the same band or not.

Not the same band. David Brighton and company only released ONE album as "Brighton" -On the Pakaderm label back in '91.

I always described it as Glam Rock in the vein of Poison, with resemblance to The Kry

I first heard "Wash Me In The Rain" on K-LRD radio when it was brand new. Loved it SO much, I bought the cassette.  I've since replaced the tape with a CD.
But yeh, only ONE album... there are about 3 other bands with the same name... no relation to David's band.

It's WAY OOP and nowhere can it be purchased where the band receives any royalties at all, so, if you're interested in having a rip of it, just lemme know and I'll upload it for ya.

(as much as I dig Bowie, I like Brighton's one album WAY more than Bowie... any day !)
