It's the sound of my bank account draining.

I am sitting on the side of the road in my Freightliner, having a universal joint replaced. $1.30/mile for the mechanic to come here and $91/hour for labor PLUS the new U-joint....I may cry all the way home... Sad

Ouch $91 an hour? I think you can get some lawyers cheaper than that. Hope it doesn't take too long. What about your cargo?

Pete is short for Peterbilt. It's a brand of heavy duty trucks here in Mexamericanada. Favored by idiots, retarded people and those with more money than brains. Highly unreliable (union built) and costly to operate, they are also quite ugly. Here is a pic:

My sister-in-law used to work at the Kenworth plant in Renton (here in Western Washington) at the same time that Gary Ridgeway (the Green River killer worked there).

Mack has good trucks, if you need a dumptruck, but nothing worthwhile for over the road use.

Sterling (formerly Ford)=Garbage

International-Decent enough in recent years, but the interior comfort needs work.
