Hey dude!  Thanks for asking.  Well, we've been going regularly to this new church and are feeling quite at home there.  My old pastor hasn't gotten back to me about meeting up with him but I think at this point it'll be more of an "exit interview" than anything else.

The "new" (to us) church is much closer to where we live - less than ten minutes - and is Calvinist.  I was brought up in more Armenian-believing churches but the further I look into the way Calvinists understand the Word, the more convinced I am of their correctness.  (That being said, I have heard the Calvinist/Armenian debate described as an "in house" debate, i.e. both fall within the boundaries of orthodox Christianity, neither being heretical.)  My wife is devoutly Calvinist and feels especially at home at this church.  So it's been an interesting process for me/us but I think we're pretty set on becoming members there.

I do feel much more at peace with it all.  When I first started this thread, I was really overwhelmed by it all but as time has gone by, I no longer feel that way.  Thank you everyone for your wisdom and prayers!

Glad to hear you found a place to go.

Now about that Calvinist stuff.... just kidding. I know, no debates here geek

That's just the CMR I think...  Wink  I'd actually love a Calvinist/Armenian discussion.  It's something I've never really delved much into before but would love to learn more.

Contrary to popular opinion, these are not the only options...

Good point. They're actually not quite as different as some might think...
